Gable Steveson Suffers 12-Second Knockout At Hands Of Sean Sharaf After Trash-Talking Presser

Olympic champion Gable Steveson suffered a stunning 12-second knockout loss to Sean Sharaf on Saturday night at UFC 331.

Sharaf (4-2) entered the ring as a 10-to-1 underdog at several sportsbooks.

Before the bout, Sharaf called out Steveson for his past sexual assault allegations in their pre-match press conference.

He called Steveson a “rapist” for stating exactly what he did and when he did it. “I don’t dislike the guy; nobody likes a rapist…This guy raped a woman in 2019, and that’s why everyone’s booing him. You can’t do that s–. It’s wrong.”

Steveson’s response didn’t have anything to do with the original remark. He called him a “coward” and said that Sharaf had “already lost.” He also said that Sharaf is “here because of me.” Steveson is a massive favorite in the fight, with Sharaf a 12-to-1 underdog.

He also said that even though it got a good reaction from the crowd, he wants to see how many people cheer his name when he gets “flatlined” at the event on Saturday.

This is the first time an opponent has brought this up, even though the alleged incident happened in 2019.

The main event at UFC 331 will be a rematch for the Flyweight title between Joshua Van and Alexandre Pantoja. In their first match, Pantoja injured his arm in the first minute, leading to a TKO victory for Van.
