Bills’ DJ Moore’s Injury ‘Not Considered Serious’

DJ Moore is okay, which is great news for Buffalo Bills fans, after he left at halftime with what was then an unknown injury.

Reports suggest Moore has an AC Joint sprain, which is nothing like the severity of the earlier speculation.

The Bills were rolling in the first half, especially on offense, scoring four touchdowns for 27 points before Moore left the game. They led by 20 at halftime.

The second half got a little more worrisome as the Detroit Lions opened with a ten-point run to cut the lead to ten. The ten-point deficit ultimately held, and the Bills went on to win 41-31 in what was still a very good performance, but the second half yielding only half the points of the first certainly had something to do with Moore’s absence.

Moore is not a guarantee for Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers, but even if they keep him out out of caution, it is good news overall that Moore won’t be out long-term.

Adam Schefter of ESPN currently has him as day-to-day. “(Moore) suffered a shoulder injury Thursday night that doctors do not consider serious and will leave him day-to-day, per source.”

They may keep Moore out for a week to be safe, since he is quarterback Josh Allen’s top target this season and a player the Bills rely on heavily.

Unfortunately, the Bills have a tough next three weeks, playing the Chargers next week, then the defending AFC champion New England Patriots, followed by one of the Super Bowl favorites, the Los Angeles Rams.
