Former UFC Champ Kevin Randleman Dies At Age 44

Kevin Randleman, a former NCAA wrestling champion and former UFC heavyweight champion has died at age 44 of heart failure. Randleman, also known as, “The Monster,” had been admitted to a hospital in San Diego for pneumonia, he died during treatment.
Randleman won the UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 23, on November 19, 1999 against Pete Williams by unanimous decision. He defended that title at UFC 26, June 9, 2000, against Pedro Rizzo, also by unanimous decision.
Perhaps “The Monster’s” best moment though, came from his bout on April 25, 2004, against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic. Randleman won the Upset of the Year and Knockout of the Year

One of Randleman’s other more impressive feats is his amazing suplex of Fedor Emelianko. Emelianko was not knocked out but the sheer power of Randleman is amazing.
Randleman is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and their four children.
