Former MLB all-star Carl Crawford has been arrested and charged with assault after an incident involving his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his child, and a man she is dating.
The incident allegedly took place on May 8 where Crawford went to the house of his ex-girlfriend with a handgun. It has been reported that Crawford shoved her to the ground, slammed her head against a wall and choked her.
It was not until his one-year old daughter came in and distracted Crawford that his ex-girlfriend was able to get away and call for help. Crawford fled the scene prior to police showing up. The 38-year old has since posted a $50,000 bond and is free from jail.
A 5-year old boy drowned in Crawford’s pool a week after the alleged incident with his ex-girlfriend. It is believed that these two incidents are not related.
