On 1970’s night, Derrick Rose turned back the clock to his career year of 2011. The guard shook off a recent illness to score 19 points and lead the Bulls to a 98-85 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

After scoring 10 points in the opening frame, his best stretch came during the third quarter, when Chicago went on a 17-4 run. He knocked down a jump shot, converted two streaking lay-ups like the Derrick Rose of old and assisted Pau Gasol on a three-point play.

Rose was also helped by a complete team effort. Jimmy Butler added 24 points, while Doug McDermott, who came within one of his career high, scored 17 and hit four 3-pointers. Gasol also added 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite their inconsistancies, the Bulls are still 15-8 on the season. If they keep getting contributions from as many players as they did last night, they could be primed for a successful season.
