Conor McGregor Claims He Would Kill Mayweather

Conor McGregor, the legendary motormouth, is busy training, getting new tiger tattoos and doing press junkets. And most recently, he just did an interview with Chris Jones of Esquire. So when asked about his chances with Floyd Mayweather in the ring, he answered openly and candidly.

“I don’t look at a man who’s expert in one area as a specialist,” McGregor told Jones. “I look at him as a rookie in ten other areas. If you can box, what happens if I grab hold of your legs? If you put me face-to-face with Floyd Mayweather — pound-for-pound boxing’s best — if I fought Floyd, I would kill him in less than thirty seconds. It would take me less than thirty seconds to wrap around him like a boa constrictor and strangle him.”

Not only would he destroy the greatest boxer in the world, he “would kill him in less than thirty seconds.” But do you expect any other answer from him? He has made it his mission to take the UFC by force and you do not get to the top by being nice.

And as for the other most outspoken person in  the UFC, Dana White, he believes what McGregor is saying is completely true.

“Do you not believe that? Of course,” Dana White told TMZ Sports. “Any of these guys would… You got boxing that is one thing, these guys do everything. Everyone of these guys will kick Mayweather’s ass.”

The Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao fight is on May 2, meanwhile Conor McGregor’s title bout against Jose Aldo is on July 11.
