College Football National Signing Day: Who Won? Who Lost?

It’s everyone’s favorite time of the year: college football national signing day. The top prospects from across the country commit to where they’re most likely to spend the rest of their college career.

National Signing Day 2019 Arrives

The initial signing day period significantly impacted the recruiting landscape, as around 70 percent Division I football prospects were signed, but several key unsigned recruits made moves and decisions that will eventually change the futures of some of the top programs in the nation. Keep in mind the potential for a walk-on to join the team. And just like every other class, this one is sure to have its characters.

Miami won national signing day this year by inking intimidating, tattooed Australian punter Louis Hedley:

That does not mean the domineering Crimson Tide were the only team to have a great day. They faced SEC competition from Tennessee and Auburn, both of whom had a good day as well by getting a couple of the top 15 prospects in the nation. Alabama capped it off by having 15 of the top 100 prospects commit to their school for this upcoming season.
