CM Punk & Roman Reigns Exchange Personal Jabs During Monday Night Raw

CM Punk and Roman Reigns are set to face off at Wrestlemania 42 for the World Heavyweight Championship, but the two cannot wait to get their hands on each other.

Reigns was the main event on Monday’s show before being quickly interrupted by Punk. Things would quickly get personal with Reigns referring to Punk by his real name, “Phil.”

“Phil, let’s remind you real quick. We brought you back here to entertain the 30-40-year-old virgins that live with their mom and dad. We brought you back to sell a few t-shirts here and there,” Reigns said about Punk returning in 2023 after a long hiatus from the company.

Reigns would go on to call Punk a liar who does nothing but complain backstage and threaten to put Punk on a John Cena-type retirement tour.

Punk responded, “You’re going to retire me? You’re going to retire CM Punk! Well, brother, you just made the list. You went from getting beat at WrestleMania to now I’m going to bury you.”

And quickly things would get extremely personal as Punk said, “And then you won’t be alone anymore because I’m going to bury you next to your father,” referring to the late Sika Anoa’i, who died in June of 2024.

The crowd couldn’t even believe that Punk would go that far with the audible gasp. Reigns and Punk clearly have true bad blood, as we have seen in past feuds.

The two will face off at Wrestlemania in Las Vegas, which takes place over two nights, April 18 and April 19.
