The Los Angeles Clippers were without All-Star Kawhi Leonard for the third straight game. Leonard did not play in Tuesdays win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Leonard will miss a second-consecutive game because of a mouth laceration he suffered during the Clippers game against the Denver Nuggets.
In addition to missing their star player, the Clippers were without their starting power forward Marcus Morris Sr., who is out with a knee injury.
Los Angeles will be faced the Portland Trailblazers Wednesday night. This was a tough matchup as the Blazers have All-Stars Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum along with Jusuf Nurkić.
Los Angeles relied on All-Star Paul George to lead the team. So far, George has led the Clippers to one win and one loss in the two games without Leonard. The one loss is from their 51 point blowout loss to the Dallas Mavericks. In that particular loss, George was unable to find his rhythm as he had a poor performance and shooting. However, he was able to bounce back and help score 18 points in Tuesday’s win over Minnesota.
