The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Indianapolis Pacers on Wednesday night, but that wasn’t the worst of it. The team also learned that Chris Paul – who was scratched from the line-up – will miss several more games.
The guard left Monday’s game against Portland in the third quarter with a strained rib muscle; an examination on Wednesday confirmed he had inflamed rib cartilage, but did not provide a time table for his return to action.

“Chris is out, and I’m assuming for the next couple of games, for sure,” head coach Doc Rivers confirmed.
The Clippers also lost J.J. Redick to a sprained ankle on the first possession of the game. After running off a Blake Griffin screen, the guard was fouled taking a jump shot and landed awkwardly. He made both free throws before exiting the game.
