Bucks’ Damian Lillard Exits Early Against Pacers With Leg Injury

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard left early during the Bucks’ 129-103 loss in game four of the series against the Indiana Pacers, after suffering a lower leg injury in the first quarter.

The Bucks may be without Lillard for the foreseeable future, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.

Pending an MRI, the preliminary examination indicated a possible Achilles tendon injury for Lillard. This comes after 15 missed games leading into game two due to a deep vein thrombosis.

Lillard left the game in a walking boot.

“I knew it right away,” Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said. “I felt bad for him. The guy tried to come back for his team.”

Lillard was injured while attempting to grab an offensive rebound. After tapping the ball, Lillard fell to the ground and grabbed his leg.

Lillard left the game with 5:57 remaining in the first quarter and the Bucks down 15-12.

The Bucks are now down 3-1 in the series and won’t have Lillard for the rest of the way. Game five is on Tuesday in Indianapolis.

Questions regarding the future of both Lillard and Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will be asked if the Bucks lose in five games. There are rumors that Antetokounmpo will be playing in a different uniform next season.
