Florida man strikes again!
Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Malik McDowell was arrested Monday in Deerfield Beach, Fla., after police say he walked naked into a children’s learning center and violently attacked a deputy.
Surveillance footage shows the naked-as-a-Jay-bird 25-year-old walk onto the center’s property while classes were in session.
Assault details aren’t available, but police officials say it was a “violent attack” that left the deputy “dazed.”

Court records show that McDowell is being charged with aggravated battery of an officer, resisting arrest, and exposing his sexual organs in public.
The team signed him last May and he appeared in 15 games—14 starts—while recording 33 combined tackles and three sacks.
“We are aware of the very concerning incident and arrest involving Malik McDowell and are in the process of gathering more information,” the Browns said in a statement. “We understand the severity of this matter and our thoughts are for the well-being of all involved. We will have no further comment at this time.”
The Browns were supposed to be McDowell’s second chance, as the Seahawks originally drafted him in 2017. He never played a snap for them, as an ATV accident just before training camp landed him on the non-football injury list.
He was then arrested twice after the accident (DWI and disorderly conduct), arrested again in February 2019 (resisting arrest, operating a vehicle while under the influence, and assault), and again in April (charges relating to possession of stolen property).
In November 2019, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 11 months in jail. It’s unclear if he served any time, but he was medically cleared to return to football by mid-2020.
This latest arrest might be it for McDowell’s playing career—and perhaps his freedom, too. There’s a chance he’s still on probation in Michigan, which would of course complicate the Florida situation.
