Broncos Stop Packers In A Game Of Undefeated Teams

Before Sunday Night Football’s primetime game last night, both the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers were undefeated with a 6-0 start to the 2015 regular season, but last night would see who had the better plan of executing offensive drives against current top defenses in the league.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been criticized for his playing ability, mostly due to his age and not being able to get comfortable in a new offensive plan and coaching staff. Putting the critics and media aside, the 39-year-old quarterback put on an dominant performance for the home Denver crowd, completing 21 of his 29 passes and throwing for 340 yards. Denver running backs Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson carried the touchdown run for the night, scoring three touchdowns in total and capping the Broncos with a whopping 500-yard total game. The defensive side of the ball for Denver was alive and well for the night, giving Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers a hard time off the snap, only allowing 77 passing yards and a low 140-yard game for the team. The Broncos would go on to extinguish the Packers in a 29-10 win and be one of four teams left standing with undefeated records.

“I’m not going to pull a Jim Mora on you and say the famous, ‘You think you know, but you just don’t know and you never will.’ It’s a great line. I’m not saying that. I’ll say it at some point. It’s not the time now. I just have been very determined to get comfortable in this offense,” said the four-time MVP after the game. Manning also tied the record for most wins by a quarterback at 186 wins right next to Packers great Brett Favre.

The Broncos will travel to Indianapolis to play the Colts while the Packers will face the current undefeated Carolina Panthers at their home turf next week for Week 9 matchups.
