Bills Cut Guard Quinton Spain 7 Months After $15 Million Extension

After a fantastic 2019 season where Buffalo Bills’ starting guard Quinton Spain allowed zero sacks and earned himself a $15 million extension, he has been cut by the team six weeks into the season. Spain had been dealing with injury and the interior line rotation for the Bills was beginning to get crowded but still, it feels curious to move off of an asset and a talent like Spain this quickly.

Spain will have many suitors right out of the gate with many teams looking for o-line help. The Cowboys are always in play along with the Philadelphia Eagles who are in desperate need of protection for quarterback Carson Wentz. Spain, who was undrafted in 2015, spent five years with the Titans eventually becoming a starting guard before going to the Bills last year.
