At this point in the NFL season, virtually everyone is carrying some sort of injury. Apparently, coaches are no exception to that.
On Tuesday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick showed up to his media availability with a bruise above his eye. There’s no risk of him missing any time, however, as the coach himself confirmed his status for the upcoming week.

“I don’t think we need to list the coaches on the injury report,” Belichick said. “But I’m sure if we’re required to do it, we’ll do it.”
When asked if he was OK, the coach simply said, “I think I’ll live.” At least we now know that Belichick isn’t any more verbose when asked about himself instead of his players.
Regardless of his personal health, Belichick and the Patriots will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs this Saturday. And while the Patriots have been the class of the NFL for the past several years, their injuries combined with the Chiefs’ lengthy winning streak mean the game could go either way.
