Aaron Rodgers was back to his old self on Monday night, throwing two touchdown passes to Davante Adams on his first two drives to lead the Green Bay Packers to a 27-13 road victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Green Bay (5-6, 3rd in NFC North) has now snapped a four-game losing streak. Fighting through a hamstring injury sustained in the middle of the third quarter, Rodgers tore through Philadelphia’s defense, leading a pair of clinching scoring drives composed of 30 plays, 153 yards and nearly 15 minutes of total playing time.

Rodgers finished 30 of 39 for 313 yards, and ran twice for 25 yards and two first downs on the opening drive.

“His positive attitude has been consistent throughout his time,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said of Rodgers. “He’s grown as a quarterback since starting in 2008. He’s grown as a person all the way through. … He’s an excellent leader and always has been. It’s something we will build off.”

Aided by the healthy return of All-Pro linebacker Clay Matthews and top cornerback Damarious Randall, the Packers shut down the Eagles’ rushing offense, sacked quarterback Carson Wentz four times and made huge stops.

Philadelphia was missing top power back Ryan Mathews, and three of their best six offensive linemen. The Eagles (5-6) have lost two straight, and sit at the bottom of the NFC East.

A season-long liability while playing through a high-ankle sprain last year, Adams has emerged as Rodgers’ most reliable target as of late. The wideout is averaging 7.2 receptions, 93 yards and nearly a touchdown per game over the past six weeks.

The Packers will next host the struggling Houston Texans on Sunday, while the Eagles will visit the Cincinnati Bengals that day.
