This season’s draft class has promising talent sprinkled in throughout multiple teams. Which rookies will possibly bring the most potential to their team this upcoming season?
The league’s first overall pick has more potential than a lot of the picks in this season’s draft, and that’s partly due to the guys around him. New head coach Kliff Kingsbury seems to be the perfect fit for Kyler Murray’s play style of fast, unorthodox QB play that the rest of the NFL isn’t used to. Besides the coaching staff, Murray has returning Pro Bowl RB David Johnson on his side, as well as fourth-round pick WR Hakeem Butler from Iowa State. According to ESPN’s Matthew Berry, Butler has been working with retired WR Calvin Johnson this offseason, as the two have almost identical builds. Butler stands at 6-foot-6 and will be a considerable option for Murray to go up and get those 50/50 balls.
There might be a rebirth to “Sacksonville” as the seventh overall pick, LB Josh Allen from Kentucky, could be moving to DE for the Jags this season. Head coach Doug Marrone and his defensive staff said that they drafted Allen to be a defensive end, according to John Oehser of the official Jaguars website. The defense will also be shifting back into a 4-3, instead of the typical NFL 3-4 defenses.
Everyone was surprised to see Dwayne Haskins go 14th overall, as size-wise, he proved to be potentially the best traditional QB in the draft at 6-foot-3, 231 pounds. He has the arm and the commanding presence to lead a franchise, and Haskins proved that at Ohio State.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW
Now that the infamous “Legion of Boom” group of FS Earl Thomas and SS Kam Chancellor is over in Seattle, there may be a new grouping here of Nasir Adderley and Derwin James. The 60th pick of the draft has great range, versatility and ball skills to work with the Chargers’ typical dime package. And with James as his counterpart (105 combined tackles last season), this pairing could be one of the more exciting duos since the Thomas-Chancellor days.
After losing RB Jordan Howard to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bears picked up Montgomery in the draft as a new pairing with Tarik Cohen. Montgomery brings everything and more to head coach Matt Nagy’s exhilerating offense. Montgomery averaged over 3.5 yards after contact at Iowa State, and finished the season with 99 overall missed tackles, the most in all RB’s in 2018 for the NCAA.
