The gossip website attained information that Edwards was stopped on the morning of May 4th in Arizona. He was allegedly driving with a blood alcohol level (BAC) of over .20.
Unfortunately for Edwards, this is already his second offense, which could be a bit of a problem with Arizona’s DUI laws. Arizona Department of Transportation splits a DUI into two categories: a normal and “extreme” one. “Extreme” is constituted by a BAC of over .15, which Edwards clearly had.
A first time offender receives 30 days in jail and a minimum $2,500 fine, but a second time violator receives no less than 120 days in jail, a fine of at least $3,250 and a one-year license suspension. There is no word about which one he will be charged under, yet either way means jail time.
Braylon played for four different teams in his eight-year career: Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. He saw great individual success in Cleveland but went to back-to-back AFC Championships in the Meadowlands.
He finished up his career with the Jets after being cut during the team’s 2013 training camp. He garnered 5,522 yards, 359 receptions and 40 touchdowns over 112 games.
