Phillies Fan Mike Capko Catches Foul Ball One-Handed While Carrying Baby

During Phillies’ loss to the New York Mets, a fan emerged to capture his 15 minutes of fame. Longtime fan Mike Capko decided to take his wife and seven-month old child to a Phillies game to celebrate their first Mother’s Day.

And their tickets just happened to be in foul ball territory: high-up and directly behind home plate. Now, when a ball came into their section, courtesy of Daniel Murphy, Mike was ready. Even though he had his child attached to him, he easily caught the ball with one hand.

“I’ve never caught a foul ball in all the years I’ve been going to Phillies games and I said this is the first time we’re going to catch a foul ball and it’s going to hit my son right in the head,” joked Alyssa Capko.

Her husband just seemed grateful for the attention and was loving every moment of it.

The Mets overcame the Phillies 7-4.
