The Tigers received bad news last week when senior forward Dante Grantham suffered a season-ending knee injury in their victory over Notre Dame. Grantham was second on the team in scoring (14.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg), while shooting 42 percent from three-point range. To make matters worse, Michigan graduate transfer Mark Donnal is questionable for Tuesday’s game while he undergoes concussion protocol. Donnal suffered a hit to the head late in Saturday’s win at Georgia Tech. He’s averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds off the bench.

Furthermore, Clemson is 5-1 this season in games decided by five points or less or in overtime.

North Carolina improved to 59-0 at home against Clemson with an 87-79 victory on Jan. 16. Clemson made 15 straight field goals in the second half of that game. The Tar Heels lead the overall series against the Tigers, 132-20. UNC has won 10 in a row and 20 out of 21 in the series.
