Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 34 points and Kristaps Porzingis added 32 points and 12 rebounds to propel the New York Knicks to their second straight victory on Sunday night, a 114-95 road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Knicks vs. Cavaliers Game Score

The Cavs (3-4) have now lost three straight games and four of five, while the Knicks (2-3) have rebounded from a rough start.

”Tonight’s loss and the last couple are unacceptable,” said Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue.

”Guys are scoring at will against us,” said LeBron James, who finished with 16 points. ”Our defense is pretty bad right now.”

Kevin Love led the hosts with 22 points. Derrick Rose returned after missing four games due to a sprained left ankle and contributed 15 points.

The Knicks — who earned their first win of the season against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday — entered Sunday ranked 28th in the NBA in scoring  (96.8 points per game) but shot 47.2 percent from the field and made 13 of their 28 three-point attempts against Cleveland.

The Cavs tied it at 49 late in the second quarter, but New York scored seven consecutive points and stretched their lead to 62-54 at halftime.

The Knicks also went on a 14-0 burst early in the game after Cleveland led 13-10.

Sunday also marked the anniversary of James’ professional debut in 2003 against Sacramento. He finished with 25 points, nine assists and six rebounds that night.

‘I played better 14 years ago than I did tonight,” James said.

Cleveland was missing guard Iman Shumpert because of a sore right knee.

Hardaway was two points short of his career high, which came on March 3 last season  against the Cavs while he played for Atlanta.

The Knicks next host the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, while the Cavaliers host Indiana on Wednesday night.
