Jonathan Taylor In Trade Rumors To The New York Giants
With the NFL trade deadline looming, Jonathan Taylor is among the many names that could be traded in the next few weeks. The New York Giants could be one of the teams calling Indianapolis about the running back.
The Giants, who are first in a weak NFC East, haven’t excelled so far this season. After a tie that should have been a loss to the Washington Commanders, they were outplayed by the New Orleans Saints for most of the game the following week.
Starting a third quarterback this season hasn’t been ideal for the Giants, though a playoff spot is still achievable. They have been linked to different trades so far this season, and a new running back could help this struggling offense.
Giants head coach John Harbaugh no longer trusts running backs Cam Skattebo and Tyron Tracy Jr. after costly fumbles, and they recently released Najee Harris after speaking out about the lack of involvement in the run game.

Giants insider Connor Hughes believes Taylor could be a Giant; however, the running back’s contract might be what stops the trade. Hughes believes the Giants would need to move players and draft picks to acquire Taylor.
“The lone expendable player the Giants have with real value is Kayvon Thibodeaux.” Hughes doubts the team would trade Thibodeaux now after losing Brian Burns for the season. If they use picks in the trade, he believes, “It’s going to cost (at least) a Day 2 pick for someone like Jonathan Taylor.”
Hughes doesn’t think Taylor would be worth a package that includes a second-round pick. Instead, the NFL insider believes Harbaugh and the front office will stick with what they have, hold onto tier draft picks, and take a running back early.
