YouTube sensation Jake Paul won his first boxing match against fellow social media star AnEsonGib as the referee called a stop to the fight in the first round. Paul landed hard shots from the start and dropped Gib to the ground three times en route to a TKO victory. The 23-year-old former Disney actor is famous for his vine videos and decided to follow in his brother Logan Paul’s footsteps by trying his hand at boxing.

Paul standing at 6’1” and 198 pounds, had a great size advantage over Gib who came into the fight at 5’8” and 188 pounds. Paul also had a 76 to 70 inch reach advantage in the fight, which caused Gib to get close to him if he had any hopes of inflicting meaningful damage.

From the time the bell rang, Paul and Gib traded ferocious blows looking for an opening to land clean punches. The stiff jab worked well for Paul, who used this technique to land heavy shots to the face of Gib. A right hand caught Gib when he was off balance and brought the undersized YouTuber to the canvas for his first knockdown.

Paul was patient after that throwing more jabs to setup his power punches, and hit Gib with a left hook that had him stumble under the top rope, which according to boxing rules, is a considered a knockdown. Gib tried to settle things down and was able to hit Paul with a nice shot that caused his nose to bleed, but Paul capitalized 15 seconds later and landed another big right hand that knocked down Gib for the third time ending the fight.

Following the post-fight interview, fellow YouTuber KSI stepped into the ring and proceeded to get in a heated conversation with Paul. KSI had previously defeated his brother Logan last year by split decision and Paul intends to avenge his brother, “I dedicated the past five months to this. It was all natural instinct in there as soon as we started,” Paul said in the post-fight interview. “I was too strong and too fast. KSI is next.”

When asked where he would like to fight KSI, Paul responded, “I think we go to Saudi Arabia. I love it there, I love the people there. I think it’s a great country, it would be super fun. So, Saudi, if you’re listening, make it happen.”
