Currently, the original article is not on the official website but can found at the Google Cache link. In the article, it says that Quinn retweeted his college teammate Jeff Samardzija in signing a deal with the San Francisco Giants and that TMZ was questioning Quinn in his sports decision in college. This led to a “fake” quote from Quinn in saying, “It was a blessing and a dream of mine to be able to play professional football, but I would have had a much longer career and made a lot more money if I had gone the baseball route.”

Quinn, who was actually a baseball standout in college during his years as Notre Dame’s starting quarterback in football, was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. After having no success in three years with the Browns, he would become backup quarterback with the Broncos, Chiefs, Seahawks, Jets, Rams and Dolphins. Last year, he joined Fox Sports 1 as a football analyst.
