The Milwaukee Brewers have made the postseason in each of their last three seasons. However, their only trip to the World Series was in 1982 and the team did not win the championship. Milwaukee has not won a championship in their 52-year franchise history. In 2020, the Brewers finished 11th in ERA (4.16 ERA) and 16th in dingers (75 home runs). From the looks of it, the Brewers will not be the most impactful team, but they will still be competitive enough to hold their own in the NL Central division.

Here are Milwaukee’s projected starters.

Milwaukee Brewers Projected Batting Order:

  1. 2B Kolten Wong
  2. OF Lorenzo Cain
  3. OF Christian Yelich
  4. 1B Keston Hiura
  5. OF Avisail Garcia
  6. 3B Luis Urias
  7. C Omar Narvaez
  8. SS Orlando Arcia
  9. Pitcher

Milwaukee Brewers Projected Pitching Staff:

  • SP1 Brandon Woodruff
  • SP2 Corbin Burnes
  • SP3 Josh Lindblom
  • SP4 Adrian Houser
  • SP5 Eric Lauer
  • CL Josh Hader

Milwaukee Brewers Team Outlook:

Over the course of free agency, the Brewers made some impactful moves to bolster the team heading into 2021. Their top free agency signing was second baseman Kolten Wong. The Brew Crew also added infielder Daniel Robertson and catcher Luke Maile. Along with these additions came the losses of third baseman Jeff Gyorko, outfielder Ryan Braun and starter Brett Anderson.

Milwaukee’s biggest strength is their bullpen, which looks stellar in the eighth and ninth innings with relievers Devin Williams and Josh Hader leading the way. Regarding their starting pitching, the Brewers have emerging arms at the front of their rotation with starters Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes. However, outside of those two elite arms, the Brewers’ rotation could use a rebuild to make the postseason. Milwaukee’s biggest bats are outfielder Christian Yelich and second baseman Keston Hiura. If these two stay healthy, the Brewers will look competitive enough to make a run for the playoffs in 2021.
