The New York Yankees will host the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night for the opener of a two-game series, and here is what you need to know.
The Yankees (42-19) are first in the AL East, while the Nationals (36-27) are also leading their division. New York has won 9 of its last 12 games. The Bombers are coming off a 2-0 loss to the Mets at Citi Field on Sunday.
CC Sabathia (3-1, 3.59 ERA) is set to start for the Yankees on Tuesday against Tanner Roark (3-6, 3.56 ERA). The game at Yankee Stadium will begin at 7:05pm EST and will be broadcast on MASN and WPIX. The Yanks and Nationals will face off again on Wednesday night, and then on Monday, June 18 at 7:05pm EST in Washington, D.C. In between, however, the Yankees are hosting the Tampa Bay Rays for a four-game series.
