Will Ferrell Beans Cheerleader In Head With Basketball At Pelicans Game

Do not worry, Will Ferrell is not having a very public meltdown: actually he was filming his new movie during the New Orleans Pelicans game, which culminated in him drunkenly throwing a basketball at a cheerleader’s head during a half court shot.

The movie in question is called Daddy’s Home, directed by Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2Sex Drive) and John Morris and co-starring Mark Wahlberg: the log line for the film goes “when a divorced guy’s ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc.”

People at the game then tweeted pictures showing security guards removing the star from the premises.

No word if this scene plays an important part in the film, but expect to see Daddy’s Home hitting theaters sometime this year: if the two leads collaboration on The Other Guys is any indication, this could be a quality flick.

As for the New Orleans Pelicans, they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 96-80.
