Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller might have been selected to his fourth Pro Bowl, but he doesn’t plan on attending. He has bigger things–namely a Super Bowl title–on his mind instead.
“[Being selected] doesn’t get old,” he said on the NFL Network. “It’s a great award; you’re voted on by your peers and the fans and the coaches. It’s all great but I plan on not being there. I plan on being in San Jose.”
Despite those plans, Miller assured Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin, who will be team captains at the Pro Bowl, that he will play hard if he ends up there.
“If, for some reason, I end up in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, I’m going to play hard,” the linebacker said. “I’m going to play hard every single play I’m in. That’s a given. Like I said, I plan on being in San Jose, but if I’m there, I’m playing hard regardless.”

This season, Miller reached the double digit sack mark with 10; the only time he didn’t record at least 10 was in 2013, when he missed time due to a suspension and a torn ACL.
The Broncos are currently first in their division, but their fate is completely up in the air. Based on the final two weeks of the season, Denver can potentially make the playoffs as any seed or even miss the postseason entirely.
