In one of the most depressing plays in basketball history, Virginia Tech player Ahmed Hill tried to take the charge from Georgia Tech’s Chris Bolden: instead, he was treated to Bolden’s knee to the face. On top of this, he was called for the foul and Bolden capped off the resulting three-point play.
First that has to hurt both mentally and physically; second, it has to be thoroughly embarrassing to be posterized while being kneed in the head. Either way, Virginia Tech was still able to squeeze out a win 65-63.
