Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook sustained a knee injury in Sunday’s 14-7 defeat to the Detroit Lions.
The initial diagnosis for Cook’s injury was a nearly complete ACL tear, and he will thus undergo an MRI on Monday.
Cook — a second-round draft pick out of Florida State — fell to the turf following a non-contact injury early in the third quarter. On that same play, Cook lost the ball for a fumble.
Cook left the locker room on crutches with his knee in a brace, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The rookie ran for 66 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
