Team USA bobsledder Josh Williamson will be representing the United States in the Bejing Winter Olympic Games.
Williamson originally competed to qualify for the 2018 games but didn’t make the cut. He was still new to the sport at the time and considers his previous attempt a good learning experience.
“Coming in that year I knew I wasn’t vying for a spot at the 2018 Olympics. I just started, it was cool to be a part of that process and watch those athletes go through that, to better prepare me for this time around,” he said. “But at the end of the day, I was just there to learn.”
Williamson went on to say that his goal was always to qualify for the 2022 Olympics, and now that he is here it is a surreal experience and that he is looking forward to competing.
