VIDEO: Fans Do ‘Belly Slides’ During Downpour At San Paulo Grand Prix

Formula 1 fans made the most of the situation after the Qualification round for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix was postponed due to torrential rain.

Footage posted by Corazon F1 shows fans sliding on the muddy ground at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, in Interlagos.

“While the FIA postponed the Qualy in Interlagos, this group of crazy people were doing a “Panza patin” [“belly slide” in English] contest,” Corazon F1 said.

The FIA and Formula 1 ultimately rescheduled Saturday’s Qualification round to Sunday morning.

Dutch racing driver Max Verstappen won the Grand Prix on Nov. 4.
