U.S. Olympic rhythmic gymnast Evita Griskenas is heading for the Paris Olympics after suffering a broken foot at her latest competition prior to qualifying for the Paris Olympics.
“Yes, in the 2023 Pan-American championships, I broke my foot, and I finished the routine and it was by the grace of God that I did,” Griskenas told uSports. “It showed me I have stronger character than they even I imagined. And I placed bronze for that, actually. And then, after that, I had to recover, and I had a short turnaround time to qualify for Paris. And thankfully, I did.”
Griskenas’ swift and successful recovery indicates a high level of physical and mental preparedness. Her ability to bounce back and secure her spot in Paris showcases her exceptional adaptability and determination.
