The Vegas Golden Knights have already gotten tired of its traditional jerseys and will switch its primary home jerseys to its gold color.
The team in a statement is referring to this as a part of its “Golden Age” campaign.
The gold jerseys will serve as the Golden Knight’s new primary jerseys in front of fans at T-Mobile Arena.
“Gold is a bold and powerful color and one that we are excited to feature even more with this evolution,” Chief Marketing Officer Eric Tosi said.

“It fits both our city and our organization, and is a natural defining theme of this new campaign. We are excited to welcome our fans back to T-Mobile, proudly wearing gold and rallying around this new era.”
The move by the Golden Knights comes as a fan Twitter poll conducted by analytics site JFreshHockey ranked its home jerseys as the second worst in the NHL.
But some fans aren’t loving the switch up to gold either.
“This looks worse than your goaltending tandem this season,” one tweeted in response to the news by the Golden Knights.
“Ah the mustard jerseys that everyone hates,” another tweeted.
And another said, “Oouuff. The original grey homes are much better.”
Below is a look a the gold jerseys and you can be the judge yourself.
While the gold jerseys will be the new primary jerseys, the Golden Knights said it will wear its gray home jersey’s during “select home contests.”
“Chrome helmets will be worn at three home games with the gray jerseys during the 2022-23 season,” it said.
Opening night on home ice will take place on October 13.
Everyone in the building will receive gold pompoms.
Also, fans attending the four preseason games at T-Mobile arena will get a golden statue of either head coach Bruce Cassidy, or of players including Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith and Mark Stone.
Additionally, new retro reverse jerseys may have leaked online.
They appear to feature the diagonal letters of Vegas, with black serving as the primary color, surrounded by red and yellow.
The Golden Knights have yet to confirm these, however.
The team has only been around since 2017 when it launched as an expansion team.
In five seasons, the Golden Knights have only missed the playoffs once.
