Tyson Fury & Anthony Joshua Sign Two-Fight Deal

After long negotiations for a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, it is finally happening. Both competitors have signed a two-fight deal with one another so they could unify the heavyweight title.

Negotiations to book a fight had been a long and rigorous process. “The hard part is always getting everybody to put pen to paper,” said Eddie Hearn in regards to getting a deal done. Hearn is the managing director of Matchroom Sport, Joshua’s promoter.”But this was a major effort from all parties to get this over the line. You had rival promoters, rival networks, and rival fighters.”

On Saturday, the services of the agreement were done that involved both fighters, different promoters, and their management. With the deal done, now there is opportunity to get solicit offers from prospective sites. For Hearn, he claims that they have “done the hard part.” The promoter said,  “Speaking for myself, Anthony, and his team at 258 management…I know how hard we’ve worked these last couple of months, and I just feel that this fight is so big it’s not a difficult sell.

It has been speculated that as many as nine sites have offered from countries across the world. The countries that have offered include the United States, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
