After winning five Super Bowls (four of which he was named MVP) and securing two NFL MVP awards as well as 12 Pro Bowl berths, the accolades keep piling on for Tom Brady.
The 40-year-old New England Patriots quarterback was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for a record 28th time on Wednesday. Brady completed 30 of 39 pass attempts for 447 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Patriots to a 36-20 Week 2 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
With the award win, Brady has now broken a tie with Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history.

Three first-quarter touchdown passes from Brady helped the Patriots take control of Sunday’s game and race out to an early lead against the Saints, and by halftime he had thrown for over 300 yards. It was the first time Brady threw for three TDs in the first quarter in his entire career. It was a much better performance than the Patriots’ season-opening loss to Kansas City, where Brady completed less than 50 percent of his pass attempts.
It was also revealed on Wednesday that Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick donated to Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt’s Hurricane Harvey relief fund.
Brady donated $100,000 and Belichick contributed $50,000.
Watt closed the fundraiser on Friday after raising more than $37 million.
The Patriots will host the Texans on Sunday to mark Watt’s first appearance at Gillette since re-aggravating his back injury in Week 3 of the 2016 season.
