Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady will be undergoing a minor knee surgery this offseason.
The minor surgery is not from a recent injury, but rather has been planned for months by Brady. There has been no indication that he needed surgery or had an injury throughout the season. The knee that will be operated on is unknown. Even when he was given days off by coach Bruce Arians, it was reported as non injury related.
The quarterback was seen sporting a brace on his left knee during the team’s boat parade, celebrating their Super Bowl victory. However, the 43-year-old has used braces outside of the field. Brady has used a brace when golfing and partaking in other recreational activities.
Last season, Brady led Tampa to a Super Bowl title, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs. The Super Bowl win became the seventh ring for the 43-year-old quarterback. In addition, he earned his fifth Super Bowl MVP after passing for 201 yards, and three touchdowns in the Bucs’ 31-9 victory.
