Tom Brady Believes Niece Maya Brady Is Family’s ‘Most Dominant Athlete’

After Tom Brady’s last Super Bowl victory with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, some are debating whether or not Brady is the G.O.A.T or greatest overall athlete of all time. However, according to Brady, he is not even the best athlete in his own family.

Brady took to Twitter to explain that the torch has been passed down to his niece, Maya Brady, saying that she is the “most dominant athlete in the Brady family…by far!”

Maya Brady is the daughter of Tom’s older sister, former All-American softball pitcher, Maureen. Maureen once led the nation in wins as a pitcher at Fresno State. Additionally, Aunt Julie and Nancy Brady were softball and soccer stars as well. Considering Maya comes from a long line of athletes, Tom saying Maya tops them all is a huge honor.

Maya is coming off an all-star freshman season in which she led UCLA with seven home runs, tied for a team-best 28 RBIs, and was named Softball America Freshman Player of the Year.

This is not the first time that Tom has spoken highly of his niece. He told the Boston Globe that Maya was “already the most athletic person of the family” even before she graduated high school in 2019.

“She’s just a great athlete, so competitive,” Tom told the Globe. “And she’s been on such winning teams, and she’s such a great teammate. It’s so impressive.”

For now, the Brady family mantle is Maya’s, and it would be tough for another younger Brady to try to take it away from her.
