Kevin Durant had some choice words about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban following the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 118-104 victory over the Mavericks in Game 5 on Wednesday night, thus eliminating Dallas from the NBA playoffs.
Cuban held court with reporters before the game and called Durant the Thunder’s only superstar. When asked about Russell Westbrook, Cuban said, “He’s an All-Star but not a superstar.”
In the post-game news conference, Westbrook was asked about the Mavericks owner’s comments, although Durant stepped in to answer for his teammate.
“He’s an idiot,” Durant said about Cuban. “He’s an idiot. Don’t listen to … he’s an idiot. That’s what we’ve got to say about that. He’s an idiot. Next question.”
