NFL Hall of Famer and media personality Shannon Sharpe is currently facing two separate sexual assault lawsuits, following violent incidents in 1995 and 2004 where he was charged with battery.

Plaintiff Michele Bundy Evans, one of Sharpe’s former girlfriends, alleges “controlling and verbal abuse,” violent behavior, and sexual assault.

“He demanded complete control over her time and body, expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called,” wrote attorney Tony Buzbee.

Another woman, who brought charges under the pseudonym Jane Doe, alleged a violent and manipulative relationship with Sharpe that began in 2023, when she was 19 years old. She alleges that she was “violently sexually assaulted and anally raped” in a series of nonconsensual encounters that stretched over months.

Sharpe and his legal team deny the allegations, describing them as “a blatant and cynical attempt to shake down Mr. Sharpe for millions of dollars.” Meanwhile, Sharpe posted a text-message screenshot on X that was seemingly meant to be copied and pasted as his own statement, drawing ridicule from the public.

“My statement is found here and this is the truth. The relationship in question was 100% consensual,” read the statement. “At this juncture I am electing to step aside temporarily from my ESPN duties. I will be devoting time to my family, and responding and dealing with these false and disruptive allegations set against me. I plan to return to ESPN at the start of the NFL preseason.

“I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received from my family, fans, friends, and colleagues.”

Sharpe’s flagship show, Club Shay Shay, along with other shows and podcasts under the Shay Shay network, had reportedly been on the verge of a new $100 million deal. “The podcast deals are off the table” as a result of the allegations coming out, one source said. Sharpe may even be replaced on First Take, with Jason Kelce as a potential option.

Regardless of the lawsuits’ outcome, damage has been done.

The lawsuit, filed in Clark County, Nevada, on Sunday, is seeking $50 million in damages from Sharpe. The woman who filed the lawsuit is listed as “Jane Doe.”

Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the woman, who has preferred to remain anonymous, has been involved with many other high-profile cases. Notably, he was involved in the major Deshaun Watson civil suit which dominated headlines for quite some time.

Sharpe addressed the accusations in a video posted to X, where he denies the allegations.

PHILADELPHIA, PA - JPHILADELPHIA, PA - JANUARY 03: Jalen Hurts #2 of the Philadelphia Eagles reacts against the Washington Football Team at Lincoln Financial Field on January 3, 2021 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Skip Bayless is back to saying outrageous things.

In yesterday’s show of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, the sports personality was asked whether or not Patrick Mahomes should be the favorite to win the most valuable player award after Jalen Hurts‘ performance last night.

“Right now, the more valuable player has been Jalen Hurts to date,” Bayless said.

And Shannon Sharpe did not take too kindly to it, noting that Hurts is the most valuable player only on his team.

“Mahomes is the most valuable player in the NFL,” Sharpe fiercely said in response.

The two continued to debate and brought up wins and losses, along with statistics.

“You’re blinded by the numbers,” Bayless said.

And Sharpe lost his mind.

“You talk about numbers and that’s all you talk about Brady [and] Jordan,”

“Now numbers don’t matter,” a frustrated Sharpe added.

But it gets even better.

Bayless then brought up the eye test and claimed that he doesn’t like what he sees from Mahomes.

Sharpe asked, “Are you Blind? Can you not see that Mahomes is a better quarterback?

And Bayless later asked, “Who has played better?”

Sharpe immediately screamed “Mahomes!”

Last night, in the Philadelphia Eagle’s first loss of the season, Hurts threw for 175 yards along with two touchdowns and one interception.

On the season, Hurts has thrown for 2,217 yards, 14 touchdowns and has a quarterback rating of 63.7.

Mahomes on the year ranks first in the league in passing yards with 2,936 and first in touchdowns thrown with 25.

His QBR is 78.6, which ranks second in the NFL.

Hurts is a great player, but not on the same level as Mahomes – even in an impressive season.

But this is not the first and likely not the last time Bayless has said something absurd.

How about when he told his former ESPN First Take partner Stephen a Smith that Andrew Bynum was better than Dwight Howard in the prime of his career?

And who can forget when Bayless said that Tim Tebow was a bigger box-office draw than Kobe Bryant – forcing Smith to talk off the set.

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant returned to the court this month after missing 23 games. However, that may not be the biggest storyline featuring the two-time NBA champion.

Durant makes his voice known on social media, which often results in him being the subject of many scandals or stories on Twitter. The latest is a feud he got into with former NFL tight end and current sports personality Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe is known for giving hot takes on the biggest sports names in the world. He appears on Undisputed with Skip Bayless, where the two often discuss controversial opinions about athletes. Sharpe – an admitted LeBron James fan – criticized Durant for a quote that implies he is better than James because he beat him in back-to-back finals appearances.

“Kevin Durant thought by winning the title, people would regard him universally as the best player in the NBA. Better than even LeBron James But very few people were willing to go there,” Sharpe said. “And then he’s like…Because he said it. ‘If LeBron James is the GOAT. I beat the GOAT twice, and hit the shot in his building. What does that make me?’”

There is just one problem; Durant never said what Sharpe accused him of saying.

“Y’all drunk uncle out here lying again. When did I say this,” Durant tweeted. Durant went on to let the public know that Sharpe should have done a better job as a journalist in his research because the quote came from a fake account.

“Shannon went on tv responding to this quote like I actually said this,” KD tweeted on Tuesday. “Gullible fans will believe it, or say ‘you was thinking this anyway’ it’s comedy at this point.”

The fake quotes began circulating online about five months ago. Although this was a mistake that Sharpe should have never made, he was not the only celebrity duped by the fake tweets. There were plenty of other sports personalities talking about them. However, Sharpe never apologized for the blunder. Instead, the NFL Hall of Famer has ignored Durant and even eventually blocked him on Twitter.

The war of words did not end there though. Sharpe went on to tweet about the fake account and called Durant out for joining the 73-9 Warriors. Then he called him out for joining Kyrie Irving and James Harden in Brooklyn.

Durant then replied by letting Sharpe know again that he was not replying to the right account. “Ole Shannon refuses to respond to me. Yo Shannon why are u using your platform to push fake quotes about me???” Durant wrote.

Durant seemed to take pleasure in noting that Sharpe ignored him and even posted a screenshot of the NFL analyst blocking him on Twitter. Durant jokinly wrote “but I’m sensitive,” in a tweet.

Today, it seems Durant got the best of Sharpe. Not to mention, following the exchange, the All-Star led the Nets to a blowout 127-97 victory over the Timberwolves. It was a good day for Durant.

SEATTLE, WA - AUGUST 25: Quarterback Tony Romo #9 of the Dallas Cowboys warms up prior to the preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field on August 25, 2016 in Seattle, Washington.

Tony Romo officially said goodbye to the city of Dallas on Tuesday night at the Mavericks’ home finale, thanking fans after joining the NBA team for warm-up drills.

Shannon Sharpe Slams Tony Romo, Mark Cuban For Tribute At Last Mavericks Home Game

The 36-year-old Cowboys quarterback, who announced his retirement last week, will now be joining CBS as a top football analyst.

Romo could have played in an NBA regular-season game, but league commissioner Adam Silver rejected Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s proposal to let the QB play.

On Wednesday’s episode of ‘Undisputed,’ Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless commented on the Maverick’s tribute to Romo, and Sharpe explained why he believed the move was “ridiculous.”

“This is ridiculous. This is utterly, utterly ridiculous,” said Sharpe, who first argued that he was confused about the homage since Romo’s record as a Cowboys quarterback during his 14 years in Dallas was much worse than many of his predecessors. “I’m trying to figure out, Skip, what did he do to deserve this? If this is Troy Aikman, with three Super Bowls… do it, Dallas. If this is Roger Staubach, with two Super Bowls, have at it.”

Sharpe continued, directing additional criticism at Cuban, whom he said he respects, for choosing Romo as a “stunt” for his final home game of the regular season.

“Tony Romo? He gets this kind of reception?” said Sharpe. “Because he’s retiring, he get this? Skip, Mark Cuban is a very proud man. He’s a very proud owner. He’s a very, very good owner. And he had to resort to a stunt like this for the last home game, to sell it out? Is this where we are now?”

Sharpe also said the move reminded him of a minor-league baseball attention grab, and took a jab at another NFL quarterback without mentioning his name. He cited the Class A Columbia Fireflies, the minor-league team former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow has been playing for.

Finally, Sharpe reiterated Romo’s few playoff victories and zero Super Bowl rings as a reason for his confusion over the tribute.

“He’s a guy with those numbers. Yeah, he had some good numbers, but you’re judged – especially at that position, at the quarterback position – by two things: playoff wins and Super Bowls. He had very little of one, two playoff wins, and absolutely none of the other.”

Here is Romo warming up with the Mavericks (32-49, 12th in West) before Tuesday’s 109-91 loss to the Denver Nuggets:

After those warm-ups and before the game began, Romo addressed the American Airlines Center crowd, saying: “This is an honor that  I could never have dreamed of. To be honest, I’m a little embarrassed. But I tell you what, I’m a really lucky guy. Thank you Dallas, I love you.”

Chants by fans for Romo to play in the game began escalating at one point, but the former QB was not allowed to participate.

Sharpe finally said Romo was being treated “like a legend” before adding how “disgusted” he was by the stunt.

Bayless, meanwhile, admitted that many of Sharpe’s arguments were valid, but added his own perspective on the move as someone who lived in Dallas for several years.

“I cannot refute one thing you just said, however, I can enlighten you about the city of Dallas, Texas, in which I lived and worked for 16, 17 years.” said Bayless. “I’m going to be the first to admit to you up front, as a lifelong Cowboy fan, last night felt weird to me. It felt odd to me. It felt a little off to me. And in the end, it just felt wrong to me. I’m with you, I get that.

Now let’s put it in this context: Dallas, Texas, is a star town. It’s a box-office town. It’s an event town. And last night, for all the wrong reasons, became quite an event in Dallas, Texas.”

Bayless also said Romo has always had “star appeal,” even though he believes it’s “largely unearned,” and also added that the quarterback went from one who nearly set a record with touchdown passes early in his career to one who had an NFL-high interceptions.

“For me, it’s a huge honor just to see that they want to do something just to say thank you for your career, what you did for the city to help the city and they way that I’ve supported them,” Romo said at the Mavericks shootaround Tuesday morning. “I don’t feel like I deserve anything like this. I feel like this whole week has been emotional in the sense of just the outpouring of support from people who appreciated you and loved you. I can’t say enough. Just to say thank you to Coach and everybody else. It’s really just an honor to be able to do this.”
