Tom Brady was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame Wednesday, donning the red jacket in a ceremony that included owner Robert Kraft and former head coach Bill Belichick.

Brady became the 35th member of the team’s Hall of Fame, though it likely didn’t require much deliberation to induct the seven-time Super Bowl winner. Committees in Canton should have a similarly easy time in a few years. In his address, Kraft offered kind words to Brady and said that he wanted to hold a special ceremony for a “one-in-a-kind player.”

While the owner shared a meaningful moment with Brady during the ceremony, an exchange between the quarterback and Belichick more effectively recalled memories of the team’s dynastic run.

“Thank you for all that you’ve done for us,” Belichick said to Brady in his speech. “Thank you for all you’ve done for me. And thank you for the example and model that you’ve been for all of us, on a daily basis, for 20 years. You’re unbelievable.”

In his induction speech several minutes later, Brady returned the favor.

“Thank you for your tireless commitment to develop and push me to be my very best,” Brady said to Belichick. “It wasn’t me, it wasn’t you, it was us. Let me make this crystal clear — there is no coach in the world I would rather play for than Bill Belichick.”

Since Brady’s run in New England came to an end in 2019, public relationships between the team’s former titans have seemingly eroded. Kraft and Belichick have been at odds for years now, with Kraft reportedly going so far as to advise the Atlanta Falcons to avoid the head coach. Belichick did not have a job in the NFL in 2023. Brady’s relationship with the two figures also reportedly grew contentious and ultimately led him to finish his career with the Buccaneers.

In recent months, however, it seems that the key contributors to the Patriots dynasty have gone to great lengths to pull back the curtain and dispel rumors of hard feelings. Countless Patriots legends were in attendance for Brady’s roast last month, and this ceremony was a similarly united outing.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has expressed his disappointment with the documentary called The Dynasty highlighting the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick-led teams. Kraft said that the documentary focused on the various controversies and negative side of the Patriots rather than their accomplishments.

“I wish they had focused more on our Super Bowl wins, our 21-game win streak. I felt bad there were players who gave hours and hours of interviews and they felt only the negativity,” Kraft said. “So a little disappointed that there wasn’t more of a real positive approach – especially for Patriot fans who have lived the experience with us.”

The Dynasty is a 10-part documentary on AppleTV+ that highlights the New England franchise from the time when Brady took over for quarterback Drew Bledsoe in 2001, all the way to Brady and Belichick’s break-up in 2020. Instead of focusing mostly on the winning steak and Super Bowls as Kraft wanted, the documentary also highlights the team’s scandals, including SpyGate, DeflateGate and the Aaron Hernandez murder trial.

Former players Devin McCourtney and Rodney Harrison were interviewed for the documentary series, but were critics of the final product, believing that they “got duped.” McCourtney also noted that the documentary painted Belichick in an unfair light, comments which Kraft responded to.

“Look, I’ll state this clearly: I feel so privileged that we had Bill here. We hope when he’s finished [coaching], that we’re going to have a chance to honor him the way we will do with Tom Brady this year. … I look forward to the privilege of putting Bill into the Patriots Hall of Fame one day in the future,” he said.

Following the documentary which showed the New England Patriots in a way that many fans have never seen before, criticisms of the team are now more outward than ever. In the most recent NFL Players Association survey, the team ranked 29th of 32 teams in the league. Their weight room was ranked last, and New England is one of only seven teams that does not provide game-day childcare support for players.

“I must tell you, I was unaware of how bad that was,” Kraft said in response. “We’ve had a plan, and we put in place, where we’re committing a whole new facility adjacent to ours that has been discussed with the young leadership team – a building that will be in excess of $50 million that will have the most [modern] facilities.”

Without Brady or Belichick for the first time this century, Kraft and the Patriots are now in unfamiliar territory going into the 2024 NFL season. With new head coach Jerod Mayo, Kraft and the organization are looking to make the necessary changes to return to their Super Bowl-winning form, but it will take time. Most important for the team is a quarterback, and with the third overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Patriots could find their new long-term starter. If not, the team still has Jacoby Brissett, Bailey Zappe and Nathan Rourke in their quarterback room.

It will no doubt be the start of a new era for Kraft and the Patriots, and with the documentary and player survey, they aren’t off to the best start.

With the third pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots… will select a quarterback. That much seems certain. But with one more month to prepare, the team still seems uncertain in its search for a new leader of the franchise.

When New England traded Mac Jones to the Jaguars earlier this month after three erratic seasons, the team’s intentions became crystal clear. Owner Robert Kraft didn’t have to snidely confirm it for everyone to reach the conclusion on their own.

“As a fan, I put my fan hat on and I definitely would,” Kraft said Tuesday about the team’s potential plans to draft a passer. “In the end, you can’t win in this league consistently unless you have a first-rate quarterback and a first-rate coach.”

At the latter position, Kraft and the Patriots have already taken a gamble, parting ways with legendary coach Bill Belichick and promoting Jerod Mayo as the program’s new leader.

Cutting ties with Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl winner, was much harder than dealing away Jones, an underperforming quarterback entering his fourth season. Now, the new-look Patriots must find the face of their offense. Three options may be available.

Even when Jones was on New England’s roster, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye was a front-runner to take the Patriots’ starting job. The team reportedly sent a caravan of coaches and scouts to attend UNC’s Pro Day on Thursday, officially marking Maye as a top option.

“Drake Maye had a fantastic interview at the combine,” Mayo said earlier this week. “He brings a lot of energy. You can tell he has that leadership ability.”

Maye was once considered a rival to USC’s Caleb Williams for the first overall pick, but he regressed slightly in the 2023 season. He is now in contention with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, another of New England’s options.

Unlike Maye, who is best known for his arm and surprising mobility, Daniels enters the 2024 draft as a profoundly athletic quarterback who makes up for his slender build with rushing ability and accuracy. Drawing comparisons to Jalen Hurts, Kyler Murray and Tyrod Taylor, he could allow New England to expand its offensive attack if the team drafts him.

A month ago, Maye and Daniels were considered the only options for New England, but the meteoric rise of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy on many draft boards launched him into the conversation for the third overall pick.

McCarthy is coming off a national championship victory with the Wolverines’ run-first offense, but a solid showing at the combine and consistent praise from former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh seems to have teams believing that he has more to show.

At some point, the New England Patriots will stop looking back on past triumphs, of which they have compiled many since the turn of the millennium. The organization and fanbase, slumping since 2020, will only be complacent for so long, and as they seek a way forward, it is becoming increasingly unclear how head coach Bill Belichick plays into that future.

It is generally accepted after three subpar years that the Patriots dynasty ended when Tom Brady left after the 2019 season. Belichick and Brady ran the league together, winning six Super Bowls. But while the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback went to the Buccaneers and won another title in the 2020 season, the future Hall-of-Fame head coach has not won another division title.

The Patriots did make it to the Wild Card game in 2021 but lost to the Bills in a crushing 47-17 loss. In 2022, they went 8-9 and finished third in the division. Belichick has found it impossible to replace Brady or even find a reasonable replacement. Mac Jones regressed significantly after an encouraging rookie season and backup Bailey Zappe has been little more than a stopgap.

Anyone who claims that Belichick will be unceremoniously fired by owner Robert Kraft are simply engaging in wishful thinking, likely because the Patriots beat up on their favorite teams for more than 20 years. If the team wants him to leave, Belichick could very easily ‘decide’ to retire at the age of 71 and go off into the sunset as the greatest head coach in NFL history. Until that day comes, however, the Patriots leader has to find a way to build something that might last beyond his final day at the helm.

Heading into the 2023 season, most projections place New England last in the AFC East. The Bills remain serious playoff contenders, the Jets are expected to improve dramatically with Aaron Rodgers in town and the Dolphins should continue to take shape if Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy. The Patriots are the division’s forgotten team, far removed from their dominant reputation of yesteryear.

While he chases Don Shula’s record of 328 wins (he’s still 30 wins away at 298), Belichick will always be remembered as a godsend for the Patriots, a coach who turned the franchise from a perennial also-ran to a powerhouse. But in the immediate future, he could be seen as overstaying his welcome without improvement.

Two years removed from his divorce from Tom Brady, Robert Kraft has proposed to his girlfriend, Dr. Dana Blumberg, with a ring that could double for one of his six Super Bowl rings.

Now he can stop going to massage parlors.

Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger—Saturday, at an inaugural event in his honor, the amfAR Gala Palm Beach event—spilled the beans. Perhaps forgetting he was mic’d up, Hilfiger said his “good friend Bob Kraft got engaged to Dr. Dana Blumberg” on stage.

It’s old news, apparently, as the couple has been engaged for a few weeks now. They’ve been an item since 2019, when they were spotted holding hands at the French Open. Then, in early 2020, the 47-year-old eye doctor and Patriots owner were seen at Sir Elton John’s Oscars party.

The 80-year-old Kraft was married for nearly 50 years to his college sweetheart, Myra, who died of ovarian cancer in 2011. He’s been spotted with actress Ricki Lander, but they called it quits in 2018.

Blumberg, one of the top ophthalmologists in the country, is based at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia.

The All In Challenge has swept the country during the coronavirus pandemic, as celebrities have offered items or experiences for people to bid on, with all the proceeds being donated toward coronavirus relief. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft took the opportunity to raise money for coronavirus relief, auctioning off one of the most prized possessions in all of sports.

SLIDESHOW: 50 GREAT SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2019

Kraft put his Super Bowl LI ring up for sale, as well as the winner offered a visit with Kraft at his Gillette Stadium office. On Thursday night, bidding closed, with the winning bid at $1.025 million.

There were a total of 35 bids on the 283-karat diamond ring from the Patriots’ fifth Super Bowl win. When asked why he chose that ring up for auction, Kraft said that he wanted to do something special. “I’ve been thinking about it for weeks,” he said. “I finally thought about our experience in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons. We were down 28-3 [in the third quarter] and had 99.6% [odds] to lose. And we came back, and we won. And I thought about what is going on at this time and wanted to give something of extreme value in support of our health care workers. So I thought it would be good to give this ring, our fifth Super Bowl win, because it showed how we came back.”

The All In Challenge has so far raised over $45 million for coronavirus relief efforts.

President Donald Trump brought his attention to the sports’ world during a White House press conference Tuesday night, expressing his dissatisfaction with watching games that aren’t live.

“We have to get our sports back. I’m tired of watching baseball games that are 14 years old,” Trump said. “But I haven’t actually had too much time to watch. I would say maybe I watch one batter then I get back to work.”

He then announced the formation of an advisory group consisting of sports’ commissioners from the NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, NHL, UFC, PGA and LPGA in addition to Robert Kraft (Patriots’ owner), Jerry Jones (Mavericks’ owner) and Mark Cuban (Mavericks’ owner). Also included in the group were UFC president Dana White and WWE chairman Vince McMahon, who Trump called “great.” Both men are reportedly good friends with the president and White had previously spoke at a Trump campaign rally in 2016. White had previously attempted to host UFC 249 on a private island before the plan was shut down by executives from ESPN and Disney. The WWE hosted its annual Wrestlemania event at the company’s performance center in Orlando on April 4 and 5 which was the last sporting event held in the U.S. since the NBA postponed its season on March 11.

Trump also said that he will have conversations with the various sports’ leaders in groups and also individually. He later mentioned that the panel will work independent of the White House task force addressing the spread of coronavirus currently lead by the director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. He did admit, however, there may be a point when both groups jointly discuss certain issues.

Fauci gave his opinion on sports returning in the summer in an interview released on Wednesday with Snapchat’s Peter Hamby.

“There’s a way of doing that,” Fauci told Hamby. “Nobody comes to the stadium. Put [the players] in big hotels, wherever you want to play, keep them very well surveilled…. Have them tested every single week and make sure they don’t wind up infecting each other or their family, and just let them play the season out.”

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio told CNN on Wednesday that he is definitely concerned with people attending games in the near future until the proper precautions are taken.

“It’s not an on-off switch [reopening] and we should get it right, one false move and we will see a resurgence , that’s the worst of all scenarios, so let’s get this right … it will be about smart, careful, staged reopening. If you put 50,000 people in Yankee stadium and see a resurgence [of COVID-19] that would be the worst thing. We have one chance to contain this thing,” De Blasio said.

As questions were raised about Tom Brady’s future following the conclusion of the 2019 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers emerged as the team Brady felt was ready to win now and the two parties eventually agreed on a two-year $50 million deal on March 20. Since choosing his next destination, rumors swirled over whether Brady’s relationship with Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick had an impact on his departure or not. The six-time Super Bowl champion appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday for a two-hour interview where he expressed his feelings regarding New England and his feelings towards Belichick.

Brady was initially asked about the notion that he wouldn’t be as successful if Belichick wasn’t his coach.

“I think it’s a pretty s—ty argument actually that people would say that, because again, I can’t do his job, and he can’t do mine,” Brady said on the show. “So the fact you could say, ‘Would I be successful without him, the same level of success?’ I don’t believe I would have been. But I feel the same vice versa, as well. To have him allowed me to be the best I can be, so I’m grateful for that. I very much believe that he feels the same way about me, because we’ve expressed that to each other.”

Brady responded assuredly when asked if he was upset about Belichick not making him a Patriot for life with a new contract.

“No, absolutely not. No, because this is a part for me, in my life, to experience something very different,” Brady said. “There are ways for me to grow and evolve in a different way that I haven’t had the opportunity to do – that aren’t right or wrong, but just right for me. I never cared about legacy. I could give a s— about that. I never once, when I was in high school, said, ‘Man, I can’t wait for what my football legacy looks like.’ That’s just not me. That’s just not my personality.”

He told Stern “it was just time” to open a new chapter in his career.

“I think he has a lot of loyalty. He and I have had a lot of conversations that nobody has ever been privy to, nor should they be, that so many wrong assumptions were made about our relationship or about how he felt about me. I know genuinely how he feels about me,” Brady said. “Now I’m not going to respond to every rumor or assumption that’s made, other than what his responsibility as coach is to get the best player for the team – not only in the short term but in the long term as well.

“So what I could control is trying to be the best I could be in both of those situations also. I got into uncharted territory as an athlete because I started to break the mold of what so many other athletes had experienced, so I got to the point where I was an older athlete and he’s starting to plan for the future, which is what his responsibility is. I don’t fault him for that. That’s what he should be doing. Not that I would ever coach, but if I was ever in a position of authority, I would understand that too.”

Brady later added that he made his “final, final decision” on March 16 when he met with Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft at his home where Brady recalled tearing up. “But I would say I probably knew before the start of last season that it was my last year,” Brady said. “I knew that our time was coming to an end.”

Tom Brady is set to enter free agency for the first time in his career on March 18 and has yet to commit to the Patriots or retirement. Adding to the uncertainty, the six-time Super Bowl Champion tweeted a cryptic photo Thursday evening that shows him standing in the tunnel in what looks to be Gillette Stadium, wearing formal attire in a black and white photo with no caption.

Patriots’ fans are looking for answers and haven’t heard from Brady since he addressed his future four days after losing to the Titans in the first round of playoffs. Brady posted a picture of himself on Instagram and said,  “I just wanted to say to all of our fans, THANK YOU! After a few days of reflection, I am so grateful and humbled by the unconditional support you have shown me the past two decades. Running out of that tunnel every week is a feeling that is hard to explain. I wish every season ended in a win, but that’s not the nature of sports (or life). Nobody plays to lose. But the reward for working hard is just that, the work!! I have been blessed to find a career I love, teammates who go to battle with me, an organization that believes in me, and fans who have been behind us every step of the way. Every one of us that works at Gillette Stadium strived to do their best, spent themselves at a worthy cause, and prepared to fail while daring greatly (h/t Teddy Roosevelt). And for that, we’ve been rewarded with something that the scoreboard won’t show – the satisfaction of knowing we gave everything to each other in pursuit of a common goal. That is what TEAM is all about. In both life and football, failure is inevitable. You dont always win. You can, however, learn from that failure, pick yourself up with great enthusiasm, and place yourself in the arena again. And that’s right where you will find me. Because I know I still have more to prove.”

Rumors have been floating around that suggest he may head to Tennessee to play under former teammate and friend Mike Vrabel but who knows if there’s any truth to that.

Hours before the Patriots took the field against the Titans, owner Robert Kraft told NBC Sport’s Peter King, “Before the season started it was very important to Tom that he be free to do whatever he wanted at the end of the year. You know what I said to myself? That any person who plays 20 years for this team and helps us get to nine Super Bowls, and been really selfless, has earned that right. I love the young man like he’s part of my family. Blood family. Anyone who’s done that has earned the right to control his future after 20 years. And you know, my hope and prayer is number one, he play for the Patriots. Or number two, he retires. He has the freedom to decide what he wants to do and what’s in his own best personal interest.”

Coming off a head-scratching playoff loss to the Titans at home Saturday, the Patriots head into this offseason hoping to re-sign Tom Brady as the 42-year-old enters free agency for the first time in his career. There had been rumors of a rift between Brady and coach Bill Belichick over the last couple of years, but owner Robert Kraft is determined to bring the six-time Super Bowl champion back to New England.

Prior to being knocked out of the playoffs, Kraft told NBC Sports’ Peter King, “My hope and prayer is No. 1, he [Brady] play for the Patriots. Or No. 2, he retires. He has the freedom to decide what he wants to do and what’s in his own best personal interest.”

Following the loss Brady told the media, “I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m not going to predict it. No one needs to make choices at this point. I love playing football. I love playing for this team. I’ve loved playing for this team for two decades and winning a lot of games. I don’t know what it looks like moving forward, so we’ll just take it day to day.”

He also had a message for Patriots’ fans. “I personally appreciate everything they’ve contributed — not just this year, but a lot of years. Just very grateful for the experience playing this year for the team, this organization, and over the course of my career, too. I appreciate it. I hope I’ve always tried to do the right thing out there. Who knows what the future holds? So I’ll leave it at that.”

Brett Favre and Peyton Manning are two quarterback legends who left their teams later in their careers, but Kraft is hoping Brady doesn’t choose the same path. “I’m thinking of all that, of all the quarterbacks who went elsewhere, and I just hope and believe that Tom … he is so special that he’s earned the right to do what’s best for him. … But I just hope and pray we fit into his plans,” Kraft said.

Brady enters free agency on March 18.

HOUSTON, TX - FEBRUARY 05: Head coach Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots and safties coach Steve Belichick walk the field before Super Bowl 51 against the Atlanta Falcons at NRG Stadium on February 5, 2017 in Houston, Texas.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said on Wednesday that the league will consider the New England Patriots’ crew’s recent illegal video of the Cincinnati Bengals’ sidelines as part of its investigation into the six-time Super Bowl-winning franchise.

“Obviously, it’s under review,” Goodell said in a news conference during the NFL’s winter meetings in Texas. “We’re gonna be thorough and we’re gonna get all the facts and we’ll go from there.”

Dubbed “Spygate 2.0” by many, the latest scandal involving the Patriots centers on a camera crew (hired as a third-party contractor) that traveled to Cleveland on Sunday to film the Bengals’ sideline during the team’s 27-19 loss to the Browns as part of a documentary series on a scout. The Patriots reportedly earned permission by the Browns to attend the game and shoot moments from it — and were allegedly expected to report back to Bill Belichick with the footage — but did not receive approval by the Bengals. During Sunday’s game at FirstEnergy Stadium, a Bengals staffer quickly became suspicious after noticing an unknown cameraman — who was wearing a Boston Bruins jersey and who identified himself as a Robert Kraft employee — filming Cincinnati’s coaching staff on the sideline and proceeded to alert media relations and security.

IN MEMORIAM: SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2019

The Patriots have been the subject of several controversies and accusations of cheating in recent years, from “Deflate-gate” — which involved the alleged deflation of balls by a locker room attendant during the AFC Championship Game between New England and Indianapolis after the 2014 season — and the first “Spygate” scandal. This videotaping controversy occurred during the 2007 season and revolved around the Pats’ illicit filming of New York Jets defensive coaches’ signals from an unauthorized location. The Patriots were fined $250,000 for that incident, while Belichick was fined $500,000 and the team was stripped of a first-round draft pick the following year.

“Of course, that’s a factor. I think the key things are the new information that we have. That information we obviously already have,” Goodell added on Wednesday about how the first “Spygate” scandal factors into the NFL’s probe into the Patriots. “But I think the issue is what information do we have from this incident.”

Will the dynasty that is the Kraft-BelichickTom Brady-led Patriots pay the consequences for their actions this time around or get away with cheating? Will the NFL’s investigation into the Patriots affect Goodell and Kraft’s longtime friendship? No matter what the final outcome is, there will undoubtedly be a lot of angry football fans.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (10-2) have all eyes on them this week as they host the Kansas Chiefs (8-4) in Foxborough. Looking to advance to 11-2, the current first place team in the AFC East faces a tough opponent in Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs teammates.

But that’s the surface story. What lies beneath is something sinister in thought to most, if not all, Patriots fans. Are Brady’s days with the New England Patriots numbered?

The 42-year old quarterback has not had his most impressive season, as the Patriots offense has struggled and, for the most part, relied on a very solid defense. But his arm strength seems to be the same as it’s always been and his football IQ can not be matched. So, why would he leave?

Brady becomes an unrestricted free agent come early March when his contract ends. Throughout the years, Brady has taken pay cut after pay cut as his desire to win has trumped his own selfish gains. However, as the star quarterback seeks to play until he’s 45, one must wonder if the Belichick-Brady era is coming to an end. For the first time since 2000, Brady will have no owner, no boss, and no team.

The team has had every opportunity to give him an extension to last him until he’s 45, and owner Robert Kraft would love nothing more than to see Brady retire as a Patriot. But with this deadline approaching, Brady and agent Don Yee must hit the drawing board and request a serious sit-down with the powerhouse duo of Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick.

The issue now is how to allocate funds effectively in order to rebuild and maintain a great team whether or not Brady retires a Patriot. As quarterbacks around the league are seeing huge contract numbers, history shows that Brady should have the highest by far (had a deal been made much earlier than present day). Kraft now faces the issues of paying the almost 43-year old close to 18-20 percent of the cap to keep him in New England.

This will clearly take time to resolve, but for right now, Brady’s mind is on the Chiefs and buttoning up his offense as they strive to 11-2. New England is favored to win as they host the Chiefs December 8 on CBS.

Back in mid-October, former Patriots’ tight end and recently retired Rob Gronkowski teased the idea of coming out of retirement and rejoining the New England Patriots for the second half of the 2019 season; However, as of November 30, that is no longer a possibility.

“I’d have to be feeling it big time to come back, it’s always going to be open in my mind,” Gronkowski said on Oct. 10. “I love the game of football, I love playing the game, I love being around the game. I even love watching the game … I’ll always keep the door open.”

That being said, while “Gronk” alluded to the possibility of his return and many fans took up the narrative of the tight end returning, the Patriots organization did not want to get ahead of themselves.

“We all love Gronk and I think the bottom line is, he hasn’t put his retirement papers in,” Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft said on Oct. 10. “We can pray and hope. … I think that’s a good academic argument that there is hope with Gronk.”

It is now apparent that Gronkowski never submitted his papers or followed through with this idea of a return. As of the November 30 deadline set by the NFL, Gronkowski did not file for return to rejoin the Patriots and thus cannot join until next season, if he so wished to do so.

The tight end’s retirement came surprisingly early, seemingly at the height of his career. Gronkowski avowed, however, that he had suffered too many concussions throughout his career and needed to retire in order to protect his head from further injury.

“I had nine surgeries and probably had, like, 20 concussions in my life — no lie,” Gronk told CBS News. “I remember five blackout ones.”

This season the Patriots would have likely welcomed the addition of the pass-catching tight end, as their offense has struggled mightily as of late and quarterback Tom Brady has only grown more frustrated.

On the other hand, the Patriots are currently sitting atop the AFC East at 10-2 and will host the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend, but this time we can be sure that it will be without Gronkowski.

The flawless 8-0 New England Patriots seemed to earn another routine win on Sunday, but there was a little more to celebrate this time around. A 17-point first quarter was all the Pats needed to defeat the Cleveland Browns, who sustained 27-13 loss.

The Pats’ win marked the 300th career win for head coach Bill Belichick. He is now only the third coach in league history to accomplish this feat — George Halas and Don Shula are the others to do so.

Halas accrued 324 victories while coaching the Chicago Bears for 40 seasons starting in the 1920s and won six league titles along the way.

Shula beat Halas’ record with 347 wins while coaching the Miami Dolphins from 1970 to 1995, including two Super Bowl victories in 1972 and 1973. The 1972 victory was the only time a team has gone perfect throughout the regular season and the postseason, as the Dolphins went 17-0-0 that year.

“It’s pretty amazing, pretty amazing. 300 wins is pretty spectacular. He’s the best coach of all time and it’s a privilege to play for him,” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told reporters during Sunday’s post-game conference.

Patriots CEO and chairman Robert Kraft presented Belichick with the game ball after the team’s victory.
“I’m happy that 263 of those 300 has been as coach of the New England Patriots,” Kraft said.

It’s another mark on a legendary coaching career for Belichick, though if you asked him, he would probably just say “we’re on to Baltimore.” The season is halfway through, but you won’t catch the Patriots looking too far ahead or focusing on personal accomplishments.

Interestingly enough, Belichick’s first career win was as the Browns’ coach against the Patriots on Sept. 8, 1991.

The Pats will next face the 5-2 Baltimore Ravens on their home turf on Sunday. The 2-5 Browns look to recover from a surprisingly poor season as they fly to the 2-6 Denver Broncos.

A Super Bowl ring seems like an annual gift for Patriots players these days, as the team consistently enjoys repeated winning seasons. Whether it comes as a sixth ring beginning to fill up Tom Brady’s second hand, or an equally coveted solitary ring for a young player like Sony Michel, the jewelry gifted to the New England Patriots members glitters brightly and makes no apologies about it.

Robert Kraft distributed the rings during a diner party at his house where he once again brought together the championship squad, which last February added a sixth Lombardi to the New England collection, all of which occurred during a dynasty established back during their 2002 Super Bowl victory over the St. Louis Rams. Since then, New England has portrayed almost complete dominance, winning during the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, and most recently 2019 season.

When designing their rings, the Patriots made sure to hint at their consistent success, as they engraved each year the Patriots won a title into the rings. The team’s motto “still here” also found its way onto the ring, as the New England rallying phrase also expresses the team’s seemingly never–ending success. Aside from that, the rings as expected include the Patriot symbol shining atop the arch, while also including Brady’s name alongside the game’s final score. The rings also added a callback to Kraft’s statement “We’re all Patriots,” a remark the owner famously voiced after the team’s 2014 Super Bowl Victory.

A total 422 diamonds weighing 9.85 carrots eventually came together to form the NFL’s largest Super Bowl rings ever created. Although the Patriot’s efforts go unmatched as they once again ascend above all NFL teams, the work performed by those at Jostens to assemble the rings deserves championship level appreciation as well, as the rings truly impress. The Patriots will look to continue their dynasty and hopefully warrant another extravagant ring order, as the begin the 2019-20 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers September 9, 2019.

Robert Kraft Super Rings: Robert Kraft: AFC Championship - New England Patriots v Denver Broncos

A Palm Beach County, Florida, judge ruled on Monday that prosecutors in New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft‘s solicitation of prostitution case cannot use surveillance video and other evidence.

County Judge Leonard Hanser said in his ruling this week that the video, which police claim show Kraft receiving sex acts he paid for at Orchids of Asia Day Spa, must be suppressed. This is due to the warrant enabling such recording lacking the proper rules to protect innocent spa customers from a violation of privacy. Hanser also ruled that evidence gathered from a traffic stop of the 77-year-old billionaire’s limo can also be disregarded.

The ruling is a major win for the six-time Super Bowl champion, who sought to suppress the evidence. He was one of the dozens of customers caught on camera receiving sexual acts along with massages at the spa in January.

Kraft, along with other patrons, pleaded not guilty to the prostitution solicitation charges that stemmed from the footage and other evidence. Kraft’s lawyers then argued that the evidence acquired was in violation of the Fourth Amendment and that it also violated Florida state law. They said that such measures were “unnecessary and inappropriate,” because Kraft’s actions were “not legally serious enough to justify such a maximally invasive investigatory technique.”

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

Judge Hanser gave a detailed explanation as to why the evidence was tossed. He wrote: “The fact that some totally innocent women and men had their entire lawful time spent in a massage room fully recorded and viewed intermittently by a detective-monitor is unacceptable.” He added that Kraft had “reasonable, subjective expectation of privacy” inside a massage room and that “the detective-monitors were simply left to their own standards and devices to satisfy the minimization requirement,” which was not a far enough measure taken by police to ensure privacy.

As for evidence obtained through the search of Kraft’s limo, Hanser wrote that it was the “fruit of an unlawful search,” and suppressed all evidence found.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is in a peculiar situation. Less than a month after being charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution, Kraft has made his first public comments about his connection to the Florida prostitution sting.

In a vague statement, he wrote: “I am truly sorry. I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard.”

Robert Kraft Scandal continues

He quickly moves on and addresses the fact that he is an elderly widower. Calling on the image of his late wife, he said, “Throughout my life I’ve tried to do the right thing. The last thing I would ever want to do was to disrespect another human being. I have extraordinary respect for women. My morals and my soul were shaped by the most wonderful woman, the love of my life, who I was blessed to have as my partner for 50 years.”

But Kraft then posited an interesting request. He wrote: “As I move forward, I hope to use the platform with which I have been blessed to help others and to try to make a difference. I expect to be judged not by my words but by my actions. And through those actions, I hope to regain your confidence and respect.”

The statement is odd. It neither addresses his activities at the Orchid Day Spa nor his plans for the case and doesn’t admit to any wrongdoings. It only says sorry, and for what exactly, we’re not aware of.

On March 1, Kraft pleaded not guilty to his charges. The 77-year-old had been videotaped receiving oral and manual stimulation from a woman at the spa in Jupiter, Florida. If convicted, Kraft would face one year in jail, a $5,000 fine, 100 hours of community service and attendance in a human trafficking dangers class. Of course, prosecutors attempted to cut the billionaire a deal. His misdemeanor charges would be dropped if he was willing to admit he would have been found guilty at trial on the charges of soliciting prostitution. However, Kraft refused.

In accordance with his word, Kraft is “truly sorry.” His actions, what he expects to be judged by, say the exact opposite. So do the videotapes recovered from the scene of the crimes.  President Donald Trump was also seen in one photo on Super Bowl Sunday posing alongside Cindy Yang, the reported owner of the Orchid Day Spa in Florida.

Rob Gronkowski has retired from the NFL.

The 29-year-old New England Patriots tight end capped off a career with four All-Pro honors and three championship rings on Sunday. In an Instagram post, one of the NFL’s biggest personalities acknowledged why he was leaving football behind.

While still a dominant playmaker, the tight end had clearly lost a step. He no longer required double teams from a defense but was able to make up for it with excellent run blocking.

“In the nine years that I have known Rob Gronkowski, I have never known him to have a bad day,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in a statement. “He always has a youthful exuberance about him and is a joy to be around.”

In the last game of his career, Gronkowski’s last catch was a deep ball thrown into triple coverage that he pulled down to put the Pats within scoring range. Moments later, they’d push the ball into the end-zone and he’d walk away with a third Super Bowl ring.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was charged with soliciting prostitution according to Florida law officials.

The six-time Super Bowl champion 77 year old was one of 25 individuals charged on Friday following the raid. Police had planned the sting operation for months. Jupiter, Florida, police said the investigation had gone from as far as China to the Southeastern Florida town.

Kraft will face misdemeanor charges on two counts of solicitation at the Orchards of Asia Day Spa. The Massachusetts native was not charged with human trafficking.

Kraft is know as friend and financial backer of President Donald Trump.

Jupiter Detective Andrew Sharp claimed Kraft seemed like a regular at the spa. “I would say going through the evidence, yes,” he said. Investigators also claimed that there was video of Kraft inside.

The multi-billionaire payed market rate for his time at the spa. For $59 he was given a half hour inside and for an extra $20 he could spend an hour.

“We’re as equally stunned as everybody else,” Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr said. An arrest warrant was soon issued for Kraft. He had last arrived at the club driven by his chauffeur.

Kraft can most likely expect to participate in a pre-trial diversion program where the defendant attends a class on the hazards of prostitution. After such a class, charges are usually dropped.

Spokesperson for Kraft denied that he did anything illegal.  “We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further,” his lawyer said.

Patriots beat Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots made their mark in NFL history yet again on Sunday night, defeating the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Pats tied the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl rings with six, and Brady became the first player in the league’s history to capture six national championship titles. The 41-year-old quarterback finished 21-of-35 for 262 yards, one interception and one touchdown, a 29-yard pass to tight end Rob Gronkowski

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman32, won his first-ever Super Bowl MVP Award after winning three national titles with the franchise and logging 10 catches for 141 yards on Sunday. Pats running back Sony Michel scored the game-winning touchdown and only one of the night.

There weren’t a plethora of highlights in this game. As my friend James said, “The Patriots made the Rams beat themselves.” It’s absolutely true: Yes, Brady tossed an interception on his first possession. Yes, Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowksi missed his first field goal of the game, a 46-yard kick with 5:40 left in the opening quarter. Yes, Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein made a 53-yard field goal to tie the game 3-3 with 4:22 left in the third quarter.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

Yes, midway through the third quarter, Rams punter Johnny Hekker made history with the longest Super Bowl punt with a 65-yard kick (by one yard). Yes, Pats players Devin and Jason McCourty became the first twins to play in and win a Super Bowl. Yes, New England cornerback Stephon Gilmore got the clutch interception on a throw from Jared Goff on a 2nd-and-10 at the 4-yard line with 4:17 remaining in the game (and the 24-year-old Rams QB — the No. 1 overall pick out of California in 2016 — unclasped his helmet in dismay).

But overall, this year’s Super Bowl did not have nearly as many highlights as other previous national championship games, and it also broke a not-so-brag-worthy record: it was the lowest-scoring national title game in NFL history. Pro football fans were surely excited to see Sean McVay —the Rams’ 33-year-old head coach — face 66-year-old Bill Belichickone of the oldest coaches in the league. Alas, the Rams failed to win their second Super Bowl ever and first since January 2000, when they beat the Tennessee Titans.

Goff was feeling way too much pressure throughout the night and it clearly showed. His team’s defense fell apart after halftime and proved no match for New England’s powerful receiving corps and running backs,  and Los Angeles’s offense also displayed just a few bright spots. The Rams drew 9 penalties for 65 yards, versus 3 flags for 20 yards for the Pats. Zuerlein missed a 48-yard field goal in the final seconds despite a valiant effort.

In total, Goff only logged two rushing touchdowns and Hekker was forced to punt more times than he should have for every 3-and-out the Rams had.

Brady kissed Pats owner Robert Kraft passionately — perhaps a little too passionately for a married man — and Belichick held his granddaughter, beaming with joy after hugging Gisele Bundchen and being doused with Gatorade.

Brady’s retirement will thus not seemingly be anytime soon, as the “GOAT” signal-caller clearly has quite a bit of gas left in the tank, unfortunately for any non-Patriots fans who were hoping he’d hang up his cleats this year or in 2020.

The Patriots have had the same franchise QB since 2000 and will likely keep him as long as he keeps winning championships for the team, no matter how great or average he plays. There’s probably no need for New England to draft a passer this year.
