Russell Wilson is now retired after one of the most accomplished quarterback careers of the past 15 years. There were seasons when the Seattle Seahawks didn’t seem destined for success, but Wilson—especially in the fourth quarter—would lead dramatic comebacks, often putting the team on his shoulders. Even after the Legion of Boom era, he carried teams that had no business contending for a championship.

Wilson’s playing career included several elite seasons with the Seattle. He spent 10 seasons in Seattle, becoming the winningest quarterback in franchise history. Wilson earned nine Pro Bowl selections, led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances and helped the franchise win its first Super Bowl in 2013.

Some might remember Wilson being traded to the Denver Broncos in 2022, where he struggled to replicate his Seattle success. He lasted just two seasons in Denver before the Broncos moved on and drafted quarterback Bo Nix out of Oregon. Wilson then played one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and later with the New York Giants before retiring. He will now join CBS as an analyst.

Wilson is one of the more underappreciated quarterbacks of his era, especially for his achievements in Seattle. He should be a Hall of Fame candidate—and deserves first-ballot consideration. He retires with more than 50,000 passing yards, over 350 touchdown passes and one of the highest winning percentages among quarterbacks of his era.

Beyond football, Wilson has made a significant impact off the field. Along with his wife, singer Ciara, he has contributed to children’s hospitals and supported numerous community initiatives.

He is widely regarded as the greatest Seahawks quarterback of all time and now stands among the most successful quarterbacks of his generation—a true Seattle legend.

Nick Herbig and the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a massive contract extension following his breakout 2025 season.

Herbig signed a four-year, $100 million extension, including $42 million guaranteed. The deal keeps the 24-year-old in Pittsburgh through the 2030 season and solidifies him as a cornerstone of the Steelers’ defense, which needs younger talent.

The agreement comes after Herbig emerged as one of the NFL’s most productive young pass rushers. Despite starting only six games in 2025, Herbig had a career-high 7.5 sacks, including an interception in Week 2 of the 2025-26 NFL season against the Seattle Seahawks.

Herbig was drafted in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin. Over his first three NFL seasons, he recorded 79 tackles and 16 sacks.

This extension also gives the Steelers confidence in his role moving forward. There will now be speculation about whether Pittsburgh could trade one of its other edge rushers, such as T.J. Watt or Alex Highsmith. The contract negotiations became a major storyline after Herbig missed portions of organized team activities while seeking a new deal.

Both sides ultimately agreed on a deal, ending the holdout. Coaches have praised Herbig’s work ethic, versatility and team-first mentality. Whether it’s lining up at the wide-nine edge rusher spot, dropping into coverage or contributing on special teams, Herbig has embraced every role asked of him in Pittsburgh.

For Pittsburgh, signing a young player like Herbig is a positive step for the future. The Steelers recently hired head coach Mike McCarthy, a Pittsburgh native, and will have Aaron Rodgers for another year. It remains to be seen how the team will perform come regular season and playoff time.

The Atlanta Falcons signed star wide receiver Drake London to a four-year, $141 million extension, with $100 million guaranteed. This move signals a major commitment to their future.

The extension makes London one of the highest-paid receivers in NFL history. His average annual salary of $35 million ranks third among NFL wide receivers and is the highest annual value ever given by the Falcons.

London arrived in Atlanta as the No. 8 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of USC. Since joining the NFL, he has been a key weapon for the Falcons’ passing attack—regardless of whether the quarterback was Kirk Cousins, Michael Penix Jr. or possibly Tua Tagovailoa this year. Through four seasons, London has recorded 309 receptions, 3,961 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns despite playing with multiple quarterbacks and offensive systems.

London’s breakout campaign came in 2024, when he had nine touchdowns and more than 1,200 yards. He’s a major mismatch for defenders in the red zone. New head coach Kevin Stefanski—a two-time Coach of the Year award winner—could use him even more effectively in 2026. Stefanski struggled last season with the Cleveland Browns, as the team cycled through quarterbacks Joe Flacco, Dylan Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

The Falcons have several young, talented players—Bijan Robinson out of Texas andKyle Pitts, who has been with the team since 2021. Atlanta is committed to keeping its core playmakers together. If they can produce, the Falcons could compete in the NFC South.

Former play-caller Zach Robinson is now in Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator, adding a new wrinkle to the division rivalry.

The Kelce brothers are expanding their business profile by teaming up with a footwear company on a new sandal collaboration focused on comfort and fashion. The partnership continues to grow its influence beyond football.

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, unveiled a limited-edition collection with Chaco, becoming the latest professional athlete to enter the competitive footwear market. The collaboration features several custom-designed sandals inspired by Kelce’s personality and travel lifestyle.

Travis Kelce is known as one of the best tight ends of all time and a multiple-time Super Bowl champion. The Chiefs are always contenders, but this collection is notable because Kelce curated it himself. The sandals were designed to balance performance and everyday comfort.

This is notable because fans follow Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, beyond sports—through television appearances, podcasts and endorsements.

The sandal partnership continues a growing trend of athletes leveraging their personal brands through lifestyle products. While signature sneakers have become common in basketball, footwear collaborations involving NFL players are also growing in popularity as athletes build audiences through social media and entertainment.

The Chiefs are looking to return to the Super Bowl, but off the field, Kelce’s latest footwear collaboration demonstrates his growing influence beyond football.

Aaron Donald could return to the NFL. The possibility has become one of the more intriguing storylines of the NFL offseason after Myles Garrett was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, sparking speculation about a potential comeback for perhaps the greatest defensive player football has seen.

Donald retired following the 2023 NFL season, ending one of the greatest defensive careers in league history. The former Ram walked away after 10 seasons, three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, eight first-team All-Pro selections and a Super Bowl championship. At the time, Donald said he felt at peace with the decision and was ready to focus on life away from football.

However, rumors picked back up after Garrett joined the Rams. Pat McAfee said on his show that he texted Donald, who hinted he’s considering the idea.

If Donald returns, pairing him with Garrett—even with Donald approaching 40—would be a nightmare for opposing offenses. That’s immediate pressure, no matter who is blocking them.

Many around the NFL immediately began imagining what a defensive front featuring both Garrett and Donald would look like. Although Donald has repeatedly stated he’s enjoying retirement, the idea of returning for a championship contender is tempting for fans—even if not for Donald himself.

I honestly think Donald is done—he’s at peace and does not need to come back. Head coach Sean McVay has maintained a close relationship with Donald and frequently praises the impact he continues to have on the organization.

For now, Donald appears content in retirement, spending more time with family and staying involved in charitable work around his hometown of Pittsburgh.

Justin Herbert missed team workouts to support his girlfriend, pop star Madison Beer, on her tour.

The second phase of the Los Angeles Chargers‘ 2026 offseason program ran for three weeks this month, ending on May 22. Herbert skipped the last two weeks of the voluntary team workouts to attend Beer’s Locket tour, which opened in Poland on May 11.

It could be read as a distraction to the team. Herbert’s coach had no issues with his absence. Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers’ head coach, said he was fine with it, since Beer supports them at the football games.

The relationship between the two has drawn public attention over the last year. They’ve been seen out at sporting events, concerts and public appearances. Beer also recently shared a viral moment where, during a European soundcheck, she answered a FaceTime call from Herbert in front of the fans.

Herbert has since returned to California to continue preparing for the 2026 season.

The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to win a playoff game, especially Herbert. They lost to the New England Patriots and the wild card in January, but the one thing on Herbert’s mind is just to get a playoff win to get the scrutiny off of it.

The Chargers also have a new offensive coordinator, Mike McDaniel, who was the former coach of the Miami Dolphins. He also brings a new scheme to Los Angeles, and it will open up what the Chargers can do on offense in the AFC West, where Patrick Mahomes is coming off an injury.

The New England Patriots finally made one of their biggest moves of the NFL offseason, acquiring star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade that could reshape the AFC playoff picture. The deal sends Brown to New England in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

This is the move the Patriots have needed to make all offseason, as it gives third-year quarterback Drake Maye the No. 1 wide receiver the team has been searching for. Brown is a proven top receiver. The Patriots did not have a true No. 1 wideout in their Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks in February.

They had solid guys like Pop Douglas, Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte. But they never had a guy like Brown, who won a Super Bowl just two years ago with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he recorded 5,000 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns, helping the Eagles during his time there since 2022.

For New England, it’s good that they are helping out Maye. Building around the base is so important, and they have spent much of the off-season upgrading their offense, but getting Brown now under contract for the 2029 season is expected to be a very high point for the Pats offense.

Philadelphia’s reason to move off of AJ Brown made sense. While the team still has Devonta Smith, who is either a wide receiver one or a wide receiver two, depending on the game. They drafted Makai Lemon, a wide receiver out of USC, in the first round.

Lemon will be Brown’s replacement, and it will be interesting to see if he rises to the challenge of a first-round pick. All in all, it’s a good trade for both teams. The football season is just around the corner, and we will see who is right.

The NFL was in shock yesterday after the Cleveland Browns traded superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett, one of the best players in the game, if not the best, to the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams acquired Garrett, the unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, who brought the sack at 23 this season. The Rams gave up young pass rusherJared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and the 2029/third-round pick. This suddenly and immediately shifts Los Angeles as the favorite to win the Super Bowl, while Cleveland hopes to build for the future.

Garrett was drafted in 2017, and he’s arguably the greatest defensive player in franchise history. He recorded 125 sacks with the Browns throughout his tenure there and has done so in his career, but hasn’t won.

Now he has an opportunity with the Rams, who are coming off an NFC Championship Game appearance against the Seattle Seahawks, where they lost 34-31. One of the main things in that game, L.A. wasn’t able to get home on Sam Darnold, and they weren’t able to get stops in the secondary. So they traded for Trent McDuffie from the Chiefs and now get Garrett from Cleveland.

It’s just wild. The reason Garrett was traded from Cleveland by general manager Andrew Berry to the Cleveland Browns, who said it’s for short- and long-term benefits, and that one of the main reasons for trading him was Jared Verse.

But no matter what, he thinks this trade is an all-time commitment to winning now for Los Angeles. It’s a defining move. We’ve never seen it in the NFL offseason. For Cleveland and Garrett, the end of an era for a franchise that cannot seem to get things right.

Josh Jacobs was arrested Tuesday in Wisconsin on multiple charges connected to an alleged domestic disturbance.

Jacobs, the starting running back for the Green Bay Packers, was booked into Brown County Jail on five charges: battery (domestic abuse), criminal damage to property (domestic abuse), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), intimidation of a victim, and felony strangulation and suffocation.

>SLIDESHOW: 50 MOST-INFAMOUS ATHLETE MUGSHOTS & THE STORIES BEHIND THEM!

Jacobs strongly denied the allegations through his attorneys. The news came as a shock because, going back to his Raiders days with Jon Gruden and his time at Alabama under Nick Saban, Jacobs was always seen as calm and rarely showed much of his personality online.

About six months ago, Jacobs announced he was dating Instagram model Ash Kash. He said he felt comfortable and like he could be himself.

Kash previously dated Sharife Cooper, who played for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. She has a history of dating athletes.

This situation brings major concern heading into the 2026 NFL season, as Jacobs remains one of the Packers’ most important players—especially at running back—after signing a four-year, $48 million contract with Green Bay in 2024.

If the Packers lose him, it would be a huge loss after his impact on the ground last season. Green Bay will conduct its own investigation, and depending on the outcome, Jacobs could face discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Both the league and the team are waiting to see how the situation develops.

Matthew Stafford is getting paid.

The Los Angeles Rams officially agreed to a new contract extension with Stafford amid a busy offseason in Los Angeles. The Rams also selected first-round quarterback Ty Simpson out of Alabama, but Stafford will be the starter this season.

According to multiple reports, Stafford signed a one-year, $55 million deal that could increase to $60 million with incentives.

Stafford, of course, is the NFL’s reigning MVP.

This extension represents Stafford’s commitment to head coach Sean McVay, especially after the team told him they planned to draft Simpson in the first round.

First-round quarterback Simpson is a highly accurate pocket passer who led Alabama past Oklahoma, 34-24, in a playoff game before falling to national champion Indiana, 38-3. Many were surprised Simpson went in the first round, but McVay got his quarterback of the future.

But the Rams have doubled down on Stafford and have unfinished business. The 38-year-old threw 46 touchdown passes in 2025 with Los Angeles.

The Rams were the No. 5 seed and finished with a 12-5 record. They nearly upset the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.

Key plays hurt the Rams in that game, including Xavier Smith’s fumbled punt return and DeMarcus Lawrence accidentally covering Kyren Williams on a crucial fourth down in the fourth quarter.

Stafford has been in Los Angeles since 2021. In his first year as the Rams’ quarterback, he led the Rams to a Super Bowl title, defeating the Bengals 23-20.

Los Angeles has remained a contender in recent years, and the message is clear for the Rams and their fans: Even as Stafford nears 40, the Rams believe their veteran quarterback can still compete for another Super Bowl.

Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Nolan Smith was arrested May 15 after allegedly driving 135 mph in a 70 mph zone in Twiggs County, Georgia.

He was later released on bond, but the arrest came at a critical time for Smith and the Eagles.

Philadelphia exercised its fifth-year option this year, signaling the organization’s confidence in the former first-round pick as a major part of the team’s future.

>SLIDESHOW: 50 MOST-INFAMOUS ATHLETE MUGSHOTS & THE STORIES BEHIND THEM!

Smith is a Super Bowl champion and has steadily developed into a key defensive contributor for the Eagles after being selected 30th overall in 2023.

He stood out at the combine and has helped the Eagles during recent playoff runs, becoming known for his speed, energy, and pass-rush ability on third downs.

However, this is not Smith’s first driving-related incident. He previously faced a misdemeanor traffic charge while at Georgia in 2022—the year the Bulldogs won the national title—for speeding and driving on a suspended license.

Several Georgia football players have been arrested for speeding in recent years. Teammate Jalen Carter, a first-round pick in 2023, was involved in a high-profile incident after the national title win over TCU, fleeing the scene of a crash that resulted in a fatality. That was just three years ago, but situations like this simply cannot happen.

The Eagles have not publicly commented on the arrest, but the situation quickly became one of the bigger NFL offseason storylines.

Organized team activities are expected to begin soon for every NFL team, putting even more attention on Smith and the controversy surrounding his return to the practice field.

It remains to be seen whether the NFL will discipline Smith, but he now faces additional pressure to prove he can avoid distractions off the field.

He was expected to be one of Philadelphia’s defensive leaders. This is a setback for the team this offseason.

Joe Flacco recently signed a one-year contract worth $6 million to return to the Cincinnati Bengals as their backup quarterback, but the former Super Bowl MVP isn’t too pleased with being a backup.

The veteran quarterback will spend another year backing up Joe Burrow; however, Flacco still thinks he could be the guy somewhere else, saying, “Believe me, I wish I were a guy somewhere.”

“I think teams are dumb for not having me be that guy, but it is what it is. I’m not going to let them, or it get me down.”

Flacco, 41, is entering his 19th season in the NFL, bouncing around the league after being the Baltimore Ravens quarterback for 11 seasons. Flacco spent time with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts before ending up in Cincinnati.

With Burrow suffering a turf toe injury at the beginning of the 2025 season, Flacco took over for him and saw some success, throwing 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Flacco was traded from the Browns to the Bengals in a rare in-division trade.

“I feel like I have unfinished business. It’s part of why I’m still here playing and doing all those things. Not being one of those guys to go sign somewhere? Yeah, it pisses me off a little bit — but at the same time I’m very happy to be here,” Flacco said.

“I feel like I can help a team win. Yeah, it may be in a different role here, but I do still think I can help this team win in that role. I had a lot of fun with Joe [Burrow]. Joe’s the guy.”

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has expressed his full trust in Jordan Love’s ability to change play calls at the line of scrimmage.

Love showcased this ability perfectly in Week 14 of last season vs the Chicago Bears when he called an audible at the line of scrimmage that led to a 41-yard touchdown to wide receiver Christian Watson.

LaFleur spoke about his quarterback during the NFL owners’ meeting, saying, “We provide a ton of freedom for him.”

“I feel pretty comfortable with it. If he sees something, he’s going to do it. That was evident in our first Chicago game. It’s zero blitz, and he gets us to max protection. He signals a route out there to Christian Watson, and he throws a touchdown. So he’s got free rein, and certainly that’s something we talk about throughout the course of the week. I’m in all those meetings with him, so we’re on the same page in regards to if he has an idea, then absolutely.”

“I would say every situation is a little bit different. Certainly, if we call a play, which we’re never trying to call a play that’s going to get [matched by the defense]. But if we call a play, and there was an incidence where we call a play, they’re playing two-man, and it’s the worst play in the world for playing two-man, please, please use your legs to try to make a bad play and try to make it good.”

Love is coming off the best season of his career, finishing sixth in the league in passer rating and throwing 23 touchdowns to just six interceptions.

However, Love and the Packers just have not figured out how to finish games, as they have struggled to close out games, most notably in the playoffs and in Week 16 against the Bears.

The next step for Love and LaFleur is to prove they have what it takes to go on a postseason run and bring a Super Bowl back to Titletown.

Crissy Froyd, NFL Reporter for USA Todaywas fired last month after comments about Dianna Russini and her recent scandal with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

Froyd trashed Russini on her X account, calling her a “detriment to women in sports” after Russini posted her resignation from The Athletic. Two days later, USA Today announced the firing of Froyd.

“USA TODAY Sports has ended its contractor relationship with Crissy Froyd effective immediately. Her recent statements do not reflect our commitment to professionalism or uphold our principles of ethical conduct,” the company announced via an X post.

Froyd said that she stands by her statements despite being fired from her job.

“I regret zero of what I said and stand beside it. If you want to talk, my messages are open. My email is operative, too. I feel I’ve been very transparent and did nothing wrong.”

Froyd’s comments about Russini surprised many.

“I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead,” Froyd posted in response to Russini’s resignation. “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

“We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years,” Froyd alleged. “It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.”

Vrabel and Russini both deny any accusations against them, with Vrabel saying, “These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable.”

The Athletic is currently in the middle of its investigation into this scandal.

After missing out on an international game last season, the Cincinnati Bengals were granted one. They will face the Atlanta Falcons at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, in Week 9.

It has been rumored that quarterback Joe Burrow was the main factor in the NFL’s decision to give them a game overseas. The NFL announced that the Miami Dolphins would be playing the NFL’s first game in Madrid in February 2025, and by March, speculation arose that the Bengals would be their opponent.

“Please be true,” Burrow wrote on his Instagram story in March 2025. Instead, the Washington Commanders got the opportunity to play the Spain game over the Bengals.

After the 2025-2026 season’s schedule was released, Burrow remarked during an interview that he would like to see the Bengals play an international game next season. Burrow then revealed that his main motive for volunteering to be on Netflix’s Quarterback show was to spread the game to more international fans.

“Part of the reason I wanted to do the Quarterback show was to help grow the game internationally, and so to not have a stage like that is a little disappointing,” Burrow said. “Because I feel like I’ve consciously worked hard to try to grow the game internationally over the last 18 months or so. So hopefully at some point in my career, we can go over there.”

The Bengals will be playing their first international game of the decade and their first since 2019, when they lost 24-10 to the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium in London, England. They also tied the then-Washington Redskins 27-27 in 2016, making the Spain game Cincinnati’s third appearance abroad.

The team celebrated the announcement by photoshopping Burrow’s Instagram story from last year. Burrow also believes that the Bengals are a good team to spread the game abroad.

“The game has a lot of room to grow,” Burrow said Tuesday on the team’s website. “Just like basketball did in the ’80s and ’90s. The Bulls kind of spearheaded that. Made it global, and hopefully the Bengals can do the same thing over the next couple of years for the NFL.”

After losing their first two international contests at Wembley Stadium, the Bengals are one of seven teams to have never won an international contest.

The Atlanta Falcons have big plans for wide receiver prospect Zachariah Branch despite his recent arrest in Athens, Georgia, on two misdemeanor charges.

The two charges Branch is facing include obstructing public sidewalks/streets, prowling, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. He was booked at 1:26 a.m. and released at 3:44 a.m., posting a $39 bond, according to the Athens Clarke County arrest log.

The former USC Trojan and Georgia Bulldog was drafted by the Falcons soon after the incident.

According to the police report, Branch failed “to comply with multiple verbal lawful commands” while blocking a sidewalk.

The police were called because of a large crowd that formed outside a bar in Athens. “The crowd was blocking the entrance, and individuals were attempting to enter the establishment despite it not being open for entry at that time,” according to the police.

Branch was ranked in the top 100 prospects according to draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. The speedy receiver ran a 4.35 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still awaiting a decision from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, as the team’s voluntary minicamp begins.

New Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy is operating with Will Howard as the starting quarterback, as they wait for a decision from Rodgers. Howard is one of two quarterbacks under contract for the Steelers, along with Mason Rudolph.

Steelers general manager Omar Khan has said that the team has continued to have “positive” conversations with Rodgers about a potential reunion with his former Green Bay Packers head coach.

The Steelers also did not pursue a quarterback during free agency, which could mean the team is confident that Rodgers will return for a 22nd season.

Rodgers led the Steelers to the playoffs last season, winning the AFC North before losing in the wildcard round to the Houston Texans. The Steelers decided to move on from long-time head coach Mike Tomlin, paving the way for McCarthy to be the next Steelers head coach.

All-star linebacker Bobby Wagner may have just opened up a new avenue for his future endeavors.

After receiving an honorary doctorate from his alma mater, Utah State, last month, Wagner wants to be called a new name. “If you didn’t know, my name is now Dr. Bobby Wagner,” the ex-linebacker joked during his speech. “And to any family members here, you need to update my name in your phone. It’s ‘Dr.’ only.”

Utah State retired Wagner’s No. 9 because he is their all-time leader in tackles and is one of only three players to have their number retired by the program. Elmer Ward and Merlin Olsen are the other two players to have their jersey numbers retired by the Aggies.

Wagner was drafted in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks, where he made quite a name for himself. He was the runner-up in rookie of the year voting in 2012 and went to eight consecutive Pro Bowls from 2014 to 2021. In Super Bowl 48, Wagner recorded 10 tackles. Wagner won Super Bowl 48, is a six-time All-Pro and 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year – this is worthy of a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Wagner had a one-year stint with the Los Angeles Rams before returning to Seattle the following season. He would spend the next two seasons with the Washington Commanders. Across his 15-year career, Wagner missed only ten games. The star linebacker led the Commanders with 162 tackles last season.

Currently, Wagner is undecided if he wants to return to the Commanders for 2026; if he decides to return for another season, Sonny Styles would be honored to learn from a legendary linebacker.

Styles was taken seventh overall by the Commanders in the NFL Draft last month. Styles’ versatility helps Washington’s defense improve its man and zone coverage numbers, while providing a much-needed boost to a defense lacking depth and speed.

Ex-New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs was found not guilty Tuesday of assaulting his private chef. Diggs pleaded not guilty in February to a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor assault charge from the alleged conflict.

On December 2, 2025, his private chef, Jamila Adams, claimed that Diggs slapped and choked her over a pay dispute. Diggs denied all allegations, and the trial lasted two days.

“We have taken these allegations seriously from day one, and that’s exactly why we were eager for the facts to come to light through the legal process,” said Mitch Schuster, one of his attorneys. The wideout’s attorneys were skeptical regarding Adams’ credibility and the true intent of the dispute.

“The evidence has shown what we’ve maintained from day one: Mr. Diggs was wrongly accused, and this case represents exactly the kind of opportunistic targeting that players can face the moment they step off the field.”

Adams and Diggs became friends in 2022 after meeting on Instagram before she was hired as his private chef. Adams testified that she was being paid roughly $2,000 per week and believed she wasn’t being compensated enough. Adams also remarked that Diggs offered her $100,000 to recant her statement to police, but that remark was struck from the record.

Dedham, Massachusetts, police officer Kenneth Ellis stated that Adams arrived at the police station, telling the jury that she was sitting down crying on the bench. Ellis said that he didn’t notice any visible injuries, spoke with other witnesses and that his investigation was based on Adams’ account.

Diggs’ hairstylist, Xia Charles, testified that she was in New York with Adams following the incident and didn’t see any injuries. She remarked that she didn’t see marks on Adams’ neck or elsewhere. Jeanelle Sales, Diggs’ chief of staff, testified that she saw Adams at home on the day of the incident in “normal spirits.”

Last season, Diggs played a decent role in New England’s offense; the wideout caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. This was his seventh 1,000-yard season in his career, contributing to a career revival after a knee injury cut his tenure with the Houston Texans short.

Diggs is famously known for his role in the “Minneapolis Miracle.”. In the final seconds of the Vikings’ 2018 NFC Divisional Round game, he caught a pass from Case Keenum and evaded Saints safety Marcus Williams for a 61-yard touchdown to secure the win for the Minnesota Vikings.

The New Orleans Saints have signed Ole Miss defensive tackle Zxavian Harris from undrafted free agency.

During the draft, Harris had one of the biggest falls in the NFL.

Before the draft, Harris was the 63rd-ranked player according to ESPN and was the 5th-ranked defensive tackle. He was ranked the best remaining unsigned player.

Only two Ole Miss players heard their names called: wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling and offensive tackle Jayden Williams.

Harris was also projected to be the first Ole Miss player selected, according to USA Today’s full seven-round mock draft.

The only explanation for an unprecedented fall like this is off-field concerns, which took him off the team’s draft boards.

Harris was arrested and charged in 2024 for domestic violence and obstructing an arrest. He was also charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, being a minor in possession, not using headlights, running a stop sign and felony fleeing in 2023.

He is also dealing with an injury, despite competing at the 2026 NFL draft combine, undergoing surgery on his right foot after the combine, and not participating in Ole Miss’ pro day on March 18.

His college coach, Pete Golding, was asked about Harris’ unexpected fall, saying, “With Zay, I don’t think it’s how you start, it’s how you finish.”

“I think a lot of that could be looking at the body type and all those types of things. Zay loves football. He’s tough, he’s competitive. He’s got a really good skillset.”
