The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to bounce back from a 2021 campaign that saw them finish tied for the worst record in MLB with the Baltimore Orioles (52-100) at a -214 run differential.

They locked up their best player, utilityman Ketel Marte, with a five-year, $76 million contract. The 28-year-old hit .318 with 14 home runs last year, but he was limited to just 90 games because of a hamstring injury.

The deal begins in the 2023 season and has a team option for 2028 worth upward of $13 million. The team hopes to feature him prominently at second.

The team will open the 2022 campaign with a four-game homestand against the division-rival Padres, then welcome the Astros to town for two games. They’ll then head to New York for a series with the Mets. Madison Bumgarner figures to get the Opening Day start for the snakes.

Arizona will open its second half of the 2022 season on July 22 with three home games against the Nationals and then three against the Giants. The team’s first second-half road trip will be to Atlanta on July 29 then Cleveland for three.

MLB.com has the D’Backs’ farm system ranked as the fourth-best in MLB—up from ninth-ranked the past three seasons. Their minor league talent includes four top-100 prospects—including three in the top 23—in the game: OFs Alek Thomas, 18, and Corbin Carroll, 19; shortstop Jordan Lawlar, 23; and lefty pitcher Blake Walston, 99.

Although the recent past doesn’t dictate so, the future is bright in the desert.

It is that time of year again and New York Yankees are starting back up with Spring Training.

GET DEALS ON NEW YORK YANKEES TICKETS HERE!

The most successful franchise in professional sports, the New York Yankees have won an MLB-record 27 World Series championships since their establishment in 1901, making the “NY”-and-pinstripes combo among the world’s most recognizable logos. A decade removed from their last title, the Bronx Bombers are jockeying for a return to post-season glory in 2020. GM Brian Cashman has stacked his Yankees lineup with several breakout stars, including sluggers Giancarlo Stanton, MLB The Show cover boy Aaron Judge and catcher Gary Sanchez. Throw in a pitching staff loaded with Luis Severino, Aroldis Chapman, and the new pick-up the Astros Gerrit Cole. New York indeed looks very prepared for a serious run at the AL East title and possibly another World Series.

Mariners Blow 6-Run Lead, Fall 7-6 to Cubs

The Seattle Mariners did not start the season well back in the spring, losing 13 games in April and 22 in May. But they have started to slowly turn things around in the latter parts of June. While they remain at the bottom of the AL West at 35-47, 15.5 games behind first-place Houston Astros, they’ve won four out of their last five games. And while the team is well out of contention for the playoffs, there is a promising future ahead for the Mariners that fans can look forward to for the rest of the season and in the coming seasons.

The Mariners have a ton of young prospects at their disposal for the future. Domingo Santana is one of the more consistent hitters in the entire team. At just 26, he proves to be a valuable asset and a big building block for the future. On the younger side, Jared Kelenic, Justin Dunn and Justus Sheffield are in the top 100 MLB prospects, while Julio Rodriguez remains in that company after he returns from injury.

While the team has a losing record, they remain a fun, energy-driven side that has upside in the rebuilding process, with tons of potential to be contenders of a rather weak AL West. They recently beat the Baltimore Orioles as big as 13-0 on Sunday. Tickets are one of the lower-costing entry fees in all the ballparks in the MLB.

SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2019- TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

With their upcoming home games, tickets on Stubhub have the Mariners hosting the St. Louis Cardinals for as low as $20 for a ticket. They host the Oakland A’s, with tickets going around $15 during the series. They host another AL West clash after that against Albert Pujols and the Los Angeles Angels, with tickets going for $20. For the foreseeable future, they host the Texas Rangers for tickets going as low as $10 ahead of time.

Here is a short schedule of the upcoming home series for the Mariners:

  • July 2 – 4 vs. St. Louis Cardinals. Tickets ranging from $20 – $24.
  • July 5 – 7 vs. Oakland Athletics. Tickets ranging from $15 – $18.
  • (All-Star Break)
  • July 19 – 21 vs. Los Angeles Angels. Tickets ranging from $20 – $22.
  • July 22 – 24 vs. Texas Rangers. Tickets ranging from $10 – $12

The city of Toronto just celebrated its first-ever NBA Finals trophy with the Raptors, but are going to miss out on glory in the MLB this year with the Blue Jays. The Jays are currently 26-46 entering into the prime time of the regular season, winning just three of their last 10. Their home record is poor to say the least at 12-23, and the franchise’s ticket prices reflect that.

The Blue Jays came into 2019 in rebuild mode. Russell Martin and Kevin Pillar were offloaded to focus more on the youth farm. Prospects are loaded on the Jays, with Nate Pearson, Eric Paradinho and Sean Reid-Foley showing promise in the bullpen for the future.

On Stubhub, tickets are low as $9 for a seat at the Rogers Centre in Toronto for this week’s series against the Los Angeles Angels. Prices rise for the future home games but just faintly. When the Jays host the Kansas City Royals and the Baltimore Orioles, tickets are just shy of $15.

SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2019- TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

First baseman Justin Smoak has hit the injury list, which puts the roster in more turmoil than it already was. After Smoak’s injury, the Blue Jays have exactly 10 outfield players (besides pitchers) to work with. That’s one sub to work with and its a catcher. Rowdy Tellez will likely take first base while the Blue Jays scramble through their DH’s for other replacements in the field.

The Blue Jays are currently fourth in the AL East, 18.5 games behind first-place New York Yankees, and a fine line between third and fourth with 13 games behind the Boston Red Sox. The Orioles are last in the AL East, with a 21-51 record.

Here is a list of the upcoming Blue Jays home games before the MLB All-Star break:

  • June 18 – 20 vs. Los Angeles Angels
  • June 28 – July 1 vs. Kansas City Royals
  • July 2 – 4 vs. Boston Red Sox
  • July 5 – 7 vs. Baltimore Orioles

The Milwaukee Brewers look to be in good position to repeat as NL Central champions.

They’re just two games behind the Chicago Cubs and have a solid team that can squeak out wins easily. Since 1970, the Brewers have embodied the spirit of Milwaukee and given Wisconsin a team they could cheer for.

The Brewers rose to prominence in the NL in the late 2000s and early 2010s after switching over from the AL. Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun led the team as its two young stars who hoped to put together a run into late October and bring some hardware back to Miller Park. The front office supported their burgeoning young stars with All-Star caliber pitching by both Zack Greinke and CC Sabathia, but neither stuck with the team very long.

Ultimately, Fielder departed and the Brewers went into a rebuild. But since 2018, the Brewers have been a team to watch. An offseason trade with the Miami Marlins netted them Christian Yelich, who went on to win the NL MVP in his first year with the team. Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, and Braun compose one of the best outfields in the game.

Nolan Arenado 2016: 87th MLB All-Star Game

The Colorado Rockies started the 2019 season going 3-12, including a notorious eight game losing streak, Rockies fans are furious with their team. Tickets on StubHub at home are as low as $6 for a ticket, including games versus the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Toronto Blue Jays, with infield box tickets going as low as $30. To compare, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees lowest cost for tickets is over $30, and infield tickets costs ranging from under $300 to over $1200 for infield suites. Even when the Rockies travel to Wrigley Field to face the Cubs, tickets can cost as high as $111.

It goes without saying that the culture of baseball, and the popularity of it, is quite different in Colorado, compared to the likes of New York, Boston and Chicago. However, the support from fans has been lacking, as the prices of tickets show.

GET COLORADO ROCKIES TICKETS HERE!

Nevertheless, the Rockies finish through Memorial Day under .500, going 24-27, 4th in the NL West, 10 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Stats show that the Rockies recent run of form is not showing great promise. Pinch hitter Mark Reynolds is 1-18 in appearances this season. Also, the Rockies are a shocking 3-11 when catcher Chris Lannetta starts. When Lannetta doesn’t start, the Rockies are five games over .500. Also when Lannetta starts, the Rockies have given up seven or more runs in six of his starts.

There are still over a third of the season still to play, but third baseman Nolan Arenado, and potential MLB All-Star doesn’t think the season is still early. According to Rox Pile, “It’s not early any more. I think it’s already happened,” Arenado said in an exclusive chat inside the Colorado clubhouse. “I think the season wasn’t early any more after the Milwaukee series. It’s not early any more. Now it’s a matter of winning.”

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

The Rockies split the series with the Brewers in late April, making their game difference with the division leaders, the Dodgers, more difficult to come back from.

There is hope for the Rockies however, as another MLB all-star candidate, catcher Tony Wolters is 2nd in the NL in catching baserunners. The 26-year-old is also showing promise on the offensive front, batting .309/.352/.446, which has been much improved since his last season numbers of .170/.292/.286.

With the Rockies 10 games behind NL west leaders, and four behind second and third place, the Rockies know a massive win streak is needed for any chance of them making the postseason come the end of summer.

Though the Tampa Bay Rays are one of the youngest MLB franchises, they’ve quickly built a name for themselves. Since debuting in 1998, the Tampa Bay team, once called the Devil Rays, has taken on the storied Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees franchises in the AL East division.

While developing these rivalries, they’ve reached the playoffs for four years and even won an AL pennant before losing to the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2008 World Series. Success in the AL East is no small feat, as all five teams have made attempts and been competitive in recent years and most ownership groups have no problem throwing money at players they believe can bring home a title.

Get TAMPA BAY Rays 2019 Season tickets HERE

After four straight losing seasons, the Rays climbed above .500 in 2018. The team finished with a 90-72 record. However, both the Yankees and the Red Sox finished with at least 100 wins, pushing the Rays to a third place finish. They did this all in spite of trading away face of the franchise, Evan Longoriato the San Francisco Giants. Cy Young Award Winner Blake Snell and recently acquired outfielder Tommy Pham came through for the team and were leaders on the field.

That success has carried over into this year. Currently, the Rays hold first place in the AL East by 2.5 games with a 20-11 record. Tyler Glasnow has a 1.75 ERA in six games started and Pham has reached base in .401 of his plate appearances.

On May 3, the Rays will head to Camden Yards in Maryland to take on the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles are in the midst of a rebuild and should only offer the Rays a chance to extend their lead on the division and hope to play in October. Tickets for that series start at $11.

After three games up north, Tampa Bay will return to Tropicana Field, the only stadium with a fixed roof in the MLB, to host the Arizona Diamondbacks. While there’s a chance they may face five-time All-Star Zack Greinke, they should be confident in their abilities as a team to come out ahead. Tickets for that series will start at $11 and go up to $181.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

After they face their NL foes, the Yankees will come to town on May 10. This is a crucial matchup. Though their lineup is depleted by injuries, the Yankees have stayed competitive and are currently in second place in the division. If the Rays want to hold onto their spot at the top, they’ll need to play hard and win this series. Tickets start at $20 for the three game series.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are one of the oldest MLB teams, being founded in 1887.

Most recently, they won championships in 1960, 1971, and 1979. They’ve produced a number of elite players in and after those years including, but not limited to, Barry BondsRoberto Clemente and Willie Stargell. Though they fell into the lower ranks of the MLB standings for a long time after, missing the playoffs for two decades and having a 20-year streak of losing seasons, they’ve reemerged recently.

In 2011, the team was above .500 after the All-Star break for the first time since 1992, and the following year they were in first place of the AL Central at the break. However, both teams collapsed late in the season. Though from 2013 to 2015, Pittsburgh reached the playoffs for three consecutive years and even finished with a 98-win season in 2015.

While they haven’t made the playoffs since then, there is optimism at PNC Park due to a fun and surprising team. Josh Bell and Melky Cabrera anchor the lineup with each hitting over .360 currently. Two-time All-Star Chirs Archer anchors the pitching rotation, while Felipe Vasquez has 12 saves in the season.

On May 14 and 15, the Pirates will head out west to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The Diamondbacks are a young team currently grooming their farm system. For Pirates fans, hopefully, Pittsburgh can pick up a few wins. Tickets start at $8.

After that, the Pirates will head out to San Diego to take on the Padres. With Manny MachadoFernando Tatis Jr, and Eric Hosmer manning the infield, San Diego has become a team to watch. Tickets for the four-game series range from $16 and go to $150.

On May 21, Pittsburgh will head back East to PNC Park and square off against the Colorado Rockies. In Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado, they have one of the most exciting duos at the five and six positions. Tickets begin at $9 for each of the three games in that series.

In the 1970s, Tony PerezPete Rose, Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench led “The Big Red Machine” to back-to-back championships. Then, in 1990, Barry Larkin and Paul O’Neill led the Reds to a fifth World Series Championship. Nine Hall of Famers played more games with the Reds than with any other team.

Since 2003, the Reds have taken the field at Great American Ball Park. Located on the Ohio River, the stadium offers scenic views along with the highest level of professional baseball. It features the sixth-largest scoreboard in Major League Baseball, boasts smokestacks that emit flames and launch fireworks and is filled to the brim with nods to Reds teams of the past.

Currently, the Reds are led by longtime first baseman and former MVP winner Joey Votto along with new pickup Yasiel Puig and third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who’s hit 10 homers this season. Luis Castillo is anchoring down the rotation and finds himself in the running for the NL Cy Young Award. Meanwhile, lefty Amir Garrett has an earned run average of just 1.84.

Currently, the Reds are out in Oakland taking on the Athletics. The A’s are fighting for first place in the AL West and bringing all that they can. This should make for an interesting series. Tickets for the three games in the Bay Area start at just $8.

After that, the Reds will head across the Bay to San Francisco to play against the Giants. From May 10 to May 12, they’ll hope to beat out the eight-time World Series Champs. Tickets for that series range from $11 to $175.

The Minnesota Twins are the most exciting team in baseball right now. They’re second in team batting average as well as first in team slugging percentage and OPS.

They’ve also got first place in the AL Central locked up by two games and have the most fun player to root for in the division with Astudillo “La Tortuga” Willians, who has prompted one of the greatest websites in baseball history.

Their success this season comes as a shock to some fans. In 2018, the Twins looked like they were headed for the bottom of the division and doing it quickly. They finished the season with a record of 78-84. Veteran catcher and hometown hero Joe Mauer retired, longtime Twin Brian Dozier was traded away at the deadline, and veteran hurler Ervin Santana hit the free agency market. That’s not to mention that manager Paul Molitor was fired and replaced with Rocco Baldelli, the current youngest manager in the major leagues.

Yet somehow, the team has persevered. They’ve gotten off to a great start and seem to be headed for postseason contention. Currently, they’re 16-9 with a .700 win percentage in their last 10 games. Byron Buxton is only five games away from equaling his total games played in the 2018 season and is giving Twins fans a glimmer of hope that he can return to his prior form. That’s also not to mention that third baseman Miguel Sano is expected to make his return from an Achilles surgery this May.

On April 29, the Twins kick off a four-game home series against the Houston Astros. While the 2017 World Series champs have one of the best rotations in baseball, the Twins were able to eke out a win against them on April 22. Tickets for that series start at $6 on StubHub.

Then, Minnesota will head out to the Bronx for a three-game stretch against the New York Yankees. New York is a game-and-a-half out of first place in the AL East and while dinged up, may still be strong competition for Minnesota. Prices range from $14 to $388 for that series.

After that, the Twins will head to Toronto to take on the Blue Jays and young phenom Vlad Guerrero Jr. starting on May 6. Tickets begin at just $7 for that series and are something fans will surely jump on. You’ll get to see the Twins roll on and the MLB’s most anticipated call-up play.

Oakland A's Beat Rangers 14-5 at Home

The Oakland Athletics are finally on the cusp of a new era. Not only have they overcome their past struggles, but now they have a steady plan to try and take home a World Series championship.

Get Oakland A’s 2019 Season Tickets HERE

Before last year, Oakland A’s fans held tightly to their memories of the 1970s and early 2000s. In the former, the A’s brought home three consecutive World Series trophies and became on of the most fondly remembered teams for their intricate uniforms and unique facial hair. While the 1980s brought three pennants and three rookies of the year, they never found a spot in the consciousness of A’s fans.

Instead, fans focused on the years that began in 1996 and continued well into the 2000s. The A’s home stadium, the Coliseum, underwent an $83 million facelift to accommodate the Oakland Raiders returning to the stadium. The A’s brought on Billy Beane as general manager in 1997 and he undertook some of the most complicated teams to build in baseball history. His unique scouting and the underdog success of the A’s would be immortalized in a book and a film titled Moneyball.

While the A’s spent close to a decade jumping up and down the standings of the AL, they finally bottomed out in 2015. The A’s would finish in last place in 2015, 2016 and 2017, losing more than 90 games in the first two years. But 2018 was a resurgence for the club. Oakland surprised the American League, won 97 games and made it to the playoffs as a wild card team. Longtime manager Bob Melvin was named AL Manager of the Year. In a move that bucks Moneyball era trends, Beane re-signed slugger Khris “Crush” Davis to a contract extension.

The team also has two potential stars in pitcher Frankie Montas, who currently has an earned run average of 2.97 and shortstop Marcus Semien, with an on-base percentage of .400. Matt Chapman is hoping to repeat his 24-homer 2018 campaign.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

On April 30 and May 1, the A’s will take on the defending World series champion Boston Red Sox. While Boston carries a roster with some of the biggest names in sports, they’ve struggled heavily to start off the season. Tickets for that matchup start at $6 on StubHub.

Then, on May 3, Oakland will head down to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates. While the Pirates hope to win the NL Central, the A’s will try to shoot down their chances. With three giveaway games, even if the A’s lose, you’ll walk away with a treat. And don’t expect the A’s to, they’ll be the favorites in the matchups. Ticket prices start at $12 and go beyond $98.

On May 7, Oakland will take on another NL Central foe, this time only at home. The Cincinnati Reds, the only team in the division with a worse record than the Pirates, will head out to the Bay Area and hope to squeak out a win. Tickets for that series start at just $7.

Here’s the A’s schedule for the month of May:

The San Diego Padres look to be one of baseball’s most exciting teams. After being in the dumps of the NL West and seeming to be hopeless, everything began clicking for them at the right time.

Eric Hosmer and Wil Myers look to have settled in at the spacious confines of Petco Park. Manny Machado is the team’s biggest free-agent signing and hopefully the most impactful for 10 years and $300 million. That’s not to mention that Fernando Tatis Jr is the best prospect in the MLB and the best alive not named after another former Expo.

After their farm system was ranked No. 1 overall, it’s no surprise that they’re clicking. Since 2005, 13 of the 14 teams named No. 1 went to the playoffs in two years. The only team that didn’t, the 2011 Kansas City Royals, reached back-to-back World Series just a few years later.

Fans around San Diego are recognizing that the team is talented and it’s no surprise. The Padres sit alone on top of the NL West with a full game lead for the first time since 2010.

How could you not be ecstatic when your rookie shortstop makes plays like these?

On April 12, 13, and 14, the Padres look to wrap up a four-game series against their division rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks. After winning the first game 7-6, they could sweep Arizona. Tickets for the remaining games begin at $11 on StubHub.

After that, the Padres return to San Diego for a quick two-game matchup against the Colorado Rockies. Both teams feature two young and talented third basemen, in Machado and Nolan Arenado, and it should be a high-scoring event. Tickets for Monday, April 15 start at $15 before dropping to $9 for Tuesday.

Then, the Padres break out of the NL West, where every team is at or over .500, to take on the Cinncinati Reds. They’ll host them for four days and hope to continue a successful season. Tickets for that series range from $15 to $155.

The Houston Astros are one of MLB’s premier teams. After a steep decline following the departure of Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman, the team switched from the National League to the American League after the 2012 season. While AL teams rejoiced it at the time, figuring that their competition got a bit easier, they’d regret it soon enough.

Astros 2019 Tickets Available Now

By 2015, three years removed from the worst record in all of baseball, the Astros would be a real playoff threat. Dallas KeuchelCarlos Correa, and Jose Altuve pushed the team for the next two years but they never advanced further than the divisional series.

https://www.stubhub.com/houston-astros-tickets/performer/4782/

When Houston was ravaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, the Astros became a rallying cry for the city. They clinched their first-ever AL West divisional title, despite playing multiple home games in other teams parks due to massive flooding throughout Houston. The Astros defeated the Boston Red Sox in the ALDS, the New York Yankees in the ALCS, and then beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games in the World Series, bringing a title back to Houston when it needed it the most. Altuve was named AL MVP that year.

In 2018, the Astros would have similar regular season success but couldn’t capitalize on it in the playoffs. They swept the Cleveland Indians in the divisional series but fell in five games to the Red Sox shortly afterwards.

This year, the team features Altuve, Correa, ace Justin Verlander, and slugger George Springer. They should only continue to steamroll opponents in a relatively week AL West Division. Currently, they’re undefeated at home in four games.

On April 9 and 10, the Astros take on the Yankees at Minute Maid Park in Houston. While still early in the season, the game could be a preview of a playoff series. Expect both teams to compete with an added grit. Tickets for that series start at $20.

Following those two games, the Astros head out to Seattle to take on the Mariners. Tickets for the three-game series range from $22 to $218.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

Then, Houston will take on the Oakland Athletics. The two-game series will continue an essential road trip of interdivisional play. Tickets are only $9 for the Wednesday, April 17 matchup.

The New York Mets are one of the sport of baseball’s most exciting teams. Based in Flushing, Queens, the Mets have been New York’s lovable underdogs since 1962.

GETS Mets 2019 Season Tickets HERE!

While they kicked off their opening season with one of the worst records of all time, just seven years later, the 1969 “Miracle Mets” would upset the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles in one of the most exciting World Series of all time. In the 1980s, the Mets featured both Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry, two young and rising stars. Though it didn’t lead to a dynasty, they won the 1986 World Series. That featured Bill Buckner‘s infamous error, where he let a ground ball roll through his legs and enabled a comeback by the Mets, continuing “the Curse of the Bambino.”

The Mets today feature a strong pitching rotation anchored by Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard. They play in one of the toughest divisions, the NL East, which is packed with sluggers and aces. The Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies with the newly acquired Bryce Harper could all give the Mets a run for their money.

Even if the game isn’t going the greatest, Citi Filed will still please fans. It’s based off of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ Ebbets Field. The stadium greatly favors pitchers. However, when a homer is hit, the iconic Home Run Apple rises up in center field. Robinson Cano and Yeonis Cespedes will give fans their best chance at seeing the apple rise up.

On April 9 and 10, the Mets will wrap up an inter-league series against the Minnesota Twins. Tickets for that start at only $6.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

After that, the Mets will head south to Atlanta for a four-game series with potential playoff implications. The Braves will try their best against the NL East’s best rotation. Tickets for that series range from $6 to $235.

Then, the Mets will continue a road trip and head up to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. There the Phillies, Harper, and the Fanatic will try to crush the Amazin’ Mets’ playoff hopes. However, it’ll be tough to do in a three-game series with two very evenly-matched teams. Tickets begin at just $19 for that series.

Below is the Mets’ schedule for the rest of the month of April:

Dodgers vs. Cubs ALCS Game 3 preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the most storied franchises in baseball, not to mention one of the most successful in recent years. The team has gone to the World Series two years in a row now, falling first to the Houston Astros in 2017 and then to the Boston Red Sox last year. They’ve also won the NL West division every year since 2013.

The Dodgers’ first home was in Brooklyn. They’re most famous for signing Jackie Robinson and breaking the color barrier in the MLB. On top of that, before the start of the 1958 season, they headed out West to Los Angeles and brought baseball to the Pacific time zone. Before Walter O’Malley made the move, the Kansas City Athletics, now in Oakland, were the furthest team from the East Coast.

The Dodgers currently play at Dodger Stadium, located at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue, Los Angeles. The stadium features a clean design and a scenic backdrop featuring hills and palm trees. The stadium was also one of the first to feature cantilever seats, ensuring that there isn’t a bad viewing point with any ticket. The spacious dimensions of the parks have led to some of the best pitching careers in baseball history.

Currently, three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw has passed the torch to Walker Buehler. If the Dodgers want to satisfy the 56,000 fans that pack into their stadium each game, these two will have to anchor the rotation. After heading to back-to-back World Series, the Dodgers find themselves in one of the best spots a team can be in despite not having won a championship since 1988.

The Dodgers take on their California rivals, the San Francisco Giants, on April 2 and 3. Tickets for those pair of games start at $7. With Madison Bumgarner taking the mound in the first game, an interesting pitching duel should ensue.

Then, the team heads out West to Coors Field in Denver to take on the Colorado Rockies. It’ll be a three-game series occurring on April 5, 6, and 7. Tickets for the first game of the series go for $109. However, they drop down to just $11 by Saturday.

The Chicago Cubs have one of the most in-depth team histories in the MLB. Most often, it includes some sort of thing that prevents them from winning the World Series. However, in 2016, 108 years after their last championship, the Cubs returned to the top of baseball. The “curse of the billy goat,” the infamous black cat of 1969, and Steve Bartman were all hexes of the past. A seven-game series against the Cleveland Indians led to Anthony RizzoKris Bryant and Jon Lester bringing a title to the North Side.

Theo Epstein, as president of baseball operations, rebuilt the Cubs into a winner and killed their championship drought as he did 12 years earlier for the Boston Red Sox. In just his second season, Bryant won an MVP and that same year Kyle Hendricks anchored down the rotation.

The Cubs have one of the most faithful fan bases in sports. A 108-year championship drought will do that to you. However, that doesn’t mean that the Cubs were sad. Hall of Famer Ernie Banks played for the Cubs from 1953 to 1971. The Cubs weren’t very good those years. Despite that, he became known or his sunny disposition and his love of the game, as well as his oft-repeated catchphrase: “Let’s play two.” That’s not to dismiss other Cubs greats Ron Santo, Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson.

If you want to see the Cubs, you’ll have to head to one of the most famous baseball stadiums in history, Wrigley Field. But while it is 115 years old, it’s filled with modern amenities. A multi-year restoration/expansion project along Sheffield Avenue and Clark Street has brought fans video boards, expanded concessions, improved parking options, an open-air plaza, a boutique hotel and more.

On April 8, the Cubs kick off a series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tickets for that game start at $54. Following that three-game series, the Los Angeles Angels come to Chicago. They’ll play three games and each serves as a potential preview of the 2019 World Series.

Here’s the Cubs’ home schedule for the month of April:

4/8 – VS Pittsburgh Pirates

4/10 – VS Pittsburgh Pirates

4/11 – VS Pittsburgh Pirates

4/ 12 – VS Los Angeles Angels

4/13 – VS Los Angeles Angels

4/20 – VS Arizona Diamondbacks

4/21 – VS Arizona Diamondbacks

4/23 – VS Los Angeles Dodgers

Though they lost 3-1 in the ALDS to the Boston Red Sox, expect the Bronx Bombers to play with a vengeance. They’re a good, young team coming off their first season with a new manager in Aaron Boone. As tough as it is to admit, they also just saw their rivals win another World Series, their second one this decade.

The team now resembles the young dynasty that won four titles in the late 90s. Aaron JudgeLuis SeverinoGary SanchezGiancarlo Stanton and Dellin Betances lead the way for the team in a tight AL East. The Aaron Hicks extension cements the team’s core and C.C. Sabathia‘s retirement announcement is just another reason for this squad to give it their all.
