New York Knicks guard Miles McBride has agreed to a three-year, $13 million contract extension. The deal is set to take effect next season and is fully guaranteed.

During his time with the New York Knicks, McBride averaged 2.2 points, 1.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 9.3 minutes per game. 

McBride’s contract comes after the Knicks traded guards RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Raptors for OG Anunoby. With both guards gone, the Knicks have some spots to fill for their backcourt. 

The Knicks, who are currently 18-15, and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, will look to McBride’s potential to help them secure a playoff spot. Despite standing at 6-foot-1, he has a 6-foot 9-inch wingspan. The No. 36 pick in the 2021 NBA draft has shown enough promise to the Knicks to be locked into a contract.
