In a high-tempered Monday Night Football contest, plenty of scrums occurred during and after the game, including one with Los Angeles Rams DE Aaron Donald and Buffalo Bills OL O’Cyrus Torrence.

Fans are reacting to the second-quarter scrum, where Donald tried to rip off Torrence’s helmet by grabbing his facemask while shoving him. Some fans claim Donald should have just “stayed retired” and that he “isn’t that scary anymore.”

No personal fouls were issued for the incident, and nothing really came of it, as teammates on both sides tried to get in the middle.

The Rams have been disappointing this year after being one of the league’s best teams last year and bringing back a defensive legend with high hopes. This probably contributed to the fans’ reaction, as well as Donald’s performance.

The game’s ending also likely fueled the fans’ harsh reaction, with the Rams losing after missing the game-winning kick following a Buffalo block in overtime.

Other fights broke out after the game at midfield as tensions remained high. Alaric Jackson received a two-game suspension for punching Bradley Chubb after the game. Chubb said the arguments that prompted the incident weren’t just between the two of them and that tempers were flaring between the teams.

In three games, Donald, 35, only has two solo tackles and zero sacks. He came out of retirement after two years out of the league.

Head coach Sean McVay had hopes for Donald, saying he was impressed with the workout that led to signing the defensive end.

Donald isn’t making nearly the impact McVay hoped for with that signing, and the Rams are now third in the NFC West at 2-3.

Los Angeles Rams LT Alaric Jackson threw a strike at Buffalo Bills LB Bradley Chubb after a hectic end to Monday Night Football that saw the Rams beat the Bills 37-34 in overtime.

The postgame scuffle happened at midfield after the game as the teams shook hands. An argument escalated into a tense face-to-face encounter that ended with Jackson punching Chubb, and his teammates pulling him back.

The NFL announced the suspension as an “act contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship,” which violates the league’s policy.

Jackson will appeal the suspension.

This unsportsmanlike conduct suspension is not Jackson’s first. In June 2024, he was suspended two games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after he was sued for videotaping sexual acts with a woman on his phone without her consent.

In another incident in June, Jackson was arrested for felony domestic violence, which the NFL has yet to punish him for but still can, depending on how the case plays out.

Jackson will miss this week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, and then Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

He will return to the team against the Los Angeles Chargers, where the Rams will serve as the home team even though they share the stadium with the Chargers.

Chubb called it an emotional game in his comments, chalking the incident up to tempers flaring.

“Just emotions, you know what I mean, emotional game. It was a close game, and you know, they always catch the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”

Chubb also said it wasn’t a personal encounter with Jackson, noting that tempers flared with many players and that Jackson wasn’t the only one he was interacting with in the situation.

Aaron Donald could return to the NFL. The possibility has become one of the more intriguing storylines of the NFL offseason after Myles Garrett was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, sparking speculation about a potential comeback for perhaps the greatest defensive player football has seen.

Donald retired following the 2023 NFL season, ending one of the greatest defensive careers in league history. The former Ram walked away after 10 seasons, three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, eight first-team All-Pro selections and a Super Bowl championship. At the time, Donald said he felt at peace with the decision and was ready to focus on life away from football.

However, rumors picked back up after Garrett joined the Rams. Pat McAfee said on his show that he texted Donald, who hinted he’s considering the idea.

If Donald returns, pairing him with Garrett—even with Donald approaching 40—would be a nightmare for opposing offenses. That’s immediate pressure, no matter who is blocking them.

Many around the NFL immediately began imagining what a defensive front featuring both Garrett and Donald would look like. Although Donald has repeatedly stated he’s enjoying retirement, the idea of returning for a championship contender is tempting for fans—even if not for Donald himself.

I honestly think Donald is done—he’s at peace and does not need to come back. Head coach Sean McVay has maintained a close relationship with Donald and frequently praises the impact he continues to have on the organization.

For now, Donald appears content in retirement, spending more time with family and staying involved in charitable work around his hometown of Pittsburgh.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been accused of making antisemitic remarks and assaulting a woman in California.

The woman claims the two met on December 31, 2025. She claims that Nucua bit her and called her an antisemitic slur. The woman filed for a temporary restraining order and a lawsuit against Nacua. The judge declined the order, but it will be reviewed.

Nacua’s legal team has denied the antisemitism allegations. His legal team said they have a witness who is willing to testify that he was sober and did not hear Nacua make any antisemitic remarks.

His legal team is not outright denying the biting allegations. Nacua’s legal team downplayed the allegations by suggesting that it was just “horseplay.” However, the woman said that the bite left an impression of Nacua’s teeth on her skin.

Levi McCathern, Nacua’s attorney, believes the allegations are just a money grab.

“Our office was contacted with demands of millions of dollars in exchange for not publicizing these allegations,” McCathern said. “This is not a legitimate claim; it is blackmail.”

He also believes that the allegations were made to stunt his NFL career. In an interview after a mediation conference, McCathern said that he believes the allegations being released just days after Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s record-breaking contract were no coincidence.

In December 2025, Nacua faced anti-semitism allegations for a touchdown dance.

Streamer Adin Ross brought Nacua on a stream. He showed Nacua a touchdown dance he wanted Nacua to do. The dance involved a motion that mimicked spinning a top, followed by rubbing his hands together. This move is known as the “covetous Jew” move. This move is meant to make Jewish people look greedy and evil.

A hearing for the case is scheduled for April 14.

Matthew Stafford is coming off a career year, but still faces questions about a possible retirement.

His Los Angeles Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the conference championship game. Stafford was asked about his future with the team after the game, but he refused to comment.

“I can’t generalize six months of my life 10 minutes after a loss,” Stafford said.

Stafford is still under contract for the 2026 season. If he retires after this season, he’d leave $40 million on the table.

Stafford is coming off a season where he threw 46 touchdowns and eight interceptions. This earned him his third Pro Bowl appearance.

In the playoffs, he threw six touchdowns and one interception. He threw three touchdowns against the Panthers and three touchdowns against the Seahawks. Despite his struggles in the divisional round against the Bears, the Rams still advanced.

In theory, it makes almost no sense for Stafford to retire. He’s playing some of his best football ever, he’s on one of the best rosters in football, and he’d lose out on a lot of money if he didn’t play next season.

The only reason he’d consider retirement is if he just didn’t want to go through the physical and mental grind again. Getting yourself into NFL-level shape is difficult. Not to mention all the hits a quarterback takes during the season.

Stafford was sacked 23 times last season. That only ranks 23rd in the NFL, but those hits add up. This, of course, doesn’t even count all the time he takes a hit while throwing.

Stafford and Puka Nakua helped lead the Rams to the best offense during the regular season. They also had a top-10 defense, thanks to Jared Verse and Byron Young.

Overall, it seems like Stafford will likely play at least one more season; it’s just a matter of when he makes it official.

The Los Angeles Rams will advance to the conference championship and are one step closer to being the first wild-card team to win the Super Bowl since the 2020 Buccaneers.

The Bears had a surprisingly good regular season that ended with them obtaining the No. 2 seed. Meanwhile, the Rams narrowly lost the division to the Seahawks. Despite the seeding, the Rams finished with a better record.

The Rams got on the board first with a Kyren Williams rushing touchdown. That was to be the only scoring of the first quarter. On the first play of the second quarter, D.J. Moore caught a touchdown pass to tie the game. With a little more than a minute left in the first half, Cairo Santos hit a 48-yard field goal to give the Bears a lead. However, the Rams quickly tied the game thanks to Harrison Mevis’ 32-yard field goal at the buzzer.

The third quarter was a defensive bloodbath, with neither team scoring. Rams running back Williams got another rushing TD in the fourth quarter to give the Rams the lead back. The Bears got the football with less than two minutes left. Caleb Williams completed a pass to Cole Kmet for a touchdown to tie the game and force overtime.

The Bears’ defense forced the Rams into a three-and-out in the first overtime possession. However, Williams threw an interception on the tenth play of the drive. The Rams had to march down the field as they were only at their own 22-yard line. Ten plays later, Mevis hit the game-winning field goal from 42 yards.

Despite not winning their division, the Rams are among the most experienced and talented teams in football. They will take on the No. 1-seeded Seahawks for a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.

Last season was an eventful one for Los Angeles as the Rams battled a rocky first half to salvage a 10-7 record and a postseason berth. At the beginning of 2023, injuries loomed over the Rams, causing them to stumble to a 3-6 record heading into week ten’s bye. Los Angeles prevailed in seven of the last eight games to secure a trip to Detroit for the wild card, a homecoming for Matthew Stafford. Jared Goff and the Lions took care of business, taking down Stafford’s Rams 24-23. Receiver Puka Nacua set an NFL record for receiving yards as a rookie with 1,486 yards and caught 105 passes, also an NFL record.

Defensive lineman Aaron Donald announced his retirement in March, ending a ten-year stint with the Rams. Donald amassed 111 sacks while getting 543 combined tackles in his career. Bills star corner Tre’Davious White joined the squad along with Darious Williams and Kamren Curl to revamp their secondary. To keep Stafford protected, the Rams signed Jonah Jackson to provide security while resigning Kevin Dotson.

The Rams kept up with filling holes on defense as Jared Verse was picked 19th overall. Verse was the third best edge in 2024’s draft, as he possesses excellent closing speed to chase down the quarterback – Verse will also complement 2023’s third-round pick, Byron Young. Another Florida State defenseman was selected by the Rams, they took Braden Fiske early in round two to complement Kobie Turner. Michigan’s Blake Corum provides a solid backup to Kyren Williams while Kamren Kitchens is a probable starter.

Los Angeles comes into 2024 with the NFL’s 12th most demanding schedule. In week one, the Rams will travel to Ford Field to square off with the Lions, whom they lost to in last season’s playoffs. The slate will also feature the 49ers, Packers, Vikings, Dolphins, Bills, Eagles and Jets.

With a plethora of young talent combined with veteran expertise, Los Angeles will seek to be a playoff hopeful come 2024.

Former Los Angeles Rams running back Eric Dickerson said Monday evening that the team’s coach, Jeff Fisher, had personally banned him from the sidelines for criticizing the team.

Erick Dickerson Says Rams Coach Jeff Fisher Banned Him From Sideline, Team Denies It

Dickerson, a Hall of Famer who played with the Rams from 1983-87, told ESPN on Monday that Fisher had said he didn’t want the former rusher on the sideline during games because some of his public comments have made players “uncomfortable.”

Fisher and another Rams executive denied having expressed this message to Dickerson.

Kevin Demoff, the team’s chief operating officer, tweeted: “All Rams alumni, and especially Eric Dickerson, are always welcome at our games and practices. I have reached out to Eric to see where a miscommunication may have occurred and to clear up any confusion over his presence at games.

“Most importantly I want to make sure he knows that he is a valued member of [the] Rams’ NFL family. We all share his love for our team and our fans.”

Later, during his scheduled briefing with the media, Fisher was asked about Dickerson’s not being allowed on the sideline and said, “I don’t know where that’s coming from.” Fisher then touched on “a really good conversation” he had with Dickerson “last week” and added: “I’d welcome him in the building. I’d love to have him come in. I’d love to have him come to practice. I’d love to have him come in the meetings.”

Despite all this, Dickerson said he vowed to Fisher that he would never attend a Rams game as long as Fisher is the team’s coach.

“I won’t be at the Coliseum as long as Fisher is coaching,” Dickerson reiterated Monday. “I’m a man of my word, and if I tell you something, I’m going to do it.”

Dickerson, 56, rushed for 7,245 yards in 65 games during his four years with the Rams. He was then traded to the Indianapolis Colts midway through the 1987 season, but remained a fan of the organization upon retirement.

Nevertheless, Dickerson hasn’t minced words about the Rams’ faults. He has harshly criticized the offensive line, talked openly about how boring the offense can be and evened questioned the credentials of quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke, who he doesn’t believe has earned the right to coach a No. 1 overall pick in Jared Goff.

Demoff reportedly called Dickerson on Monday to try to set the record straight, but Dickerson was at a barbecue and didn’t answer. He said that he would return Demoff’s call on Tuesday.

The Rams will next visit the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Dak Prescott to Dallas Cowboys

There were a few firsts on Saturday. The NFL preseason game that featured the L.A. Rams and the Dallas Cowboys was the first NFL game of any kind at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in almost 22 years. The game boasted an impressive performance by rookie quarterback Dak Prescott in the first game of his NFL career despite a 28-24 loss, and of course, it was the first game of the NFL preseason.

Tony Romo hasn’t started in a pre-season opener since 2012 in an effort to keep him fresh and ready for the regular-season opener. Preseason is prime time for the Cowboys backup quarterbacks to show who’s ready for the first officer spot.

Prescott was chosen in the fourth round, 135th overall by the Cowboys in the 2016 draft. According to ESPN Prescott had prepared for each preseason practice as it was a game and was ready to show off his hard work, he said.

“I just basically wanted to do what I’ve been doing at practice,” Prescott said.

According to SportsDay Dez Bryant said there was no question about Prescott’s leadership skills.

“He was running the show,” Bryant said. “He was leading. It was his huddle.”

Prescott completed 10 of 12 for 139 yards and two touchdowns in one half, his only incompletions came on drops. He has a higher QB rating than any of the quarterbacks drafted higher than him in 2016, a rating of 154.5.

To the Cowboy’s credit they have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL and made sure Prescott had the best protection, giving him time and space to make the plays.

The Cowboys were in the market for a back-up quarterback after Kellen Moore broke his fibula and will be out for three to four months of the season. Dallas thought of signing Nick Foles or trading for Josh McCown, but Foles ended up with the Kansas City Chiefs and McCown was going to cost more than the Cowboys were willing to spend.

Cowboy’s running back Lucky Whitehead started the game off with a 101 yard kick return and a ten-yard touchdown catch from Bryant putting Dallas up 14-7 at the end of the second quarter. The Cowboys led all the way until the fourth when Ram’s third string quarterback Sean Mannion led a 74-yard 11-play scoring drive that culminated with a nine-yard pass to Aaron Green for a touchdown.

The first pick in the NFL draft Jared Goff entered the game in the second quarter for the Rams. He completed four of nine passes for 38 yards and was sacked once. Comparatively speaking, Goff’s rating after this game is 17.1.

Despite the difference in performance between the rookie quarterbacks the Rams came away victorious. Rams quarterback Case Keenum will be at the starting spot, Keenum completed six of seven passes for 58 yards and led the Rams to one touchdown. Rams’ Second year vet, Mannion, completed 18 of 25 for 147 yards and three touchdowns in the second half.

NFL and Rams Made Deal Regarding Michael Sam and Hard Knocks

Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher cut wide receiver Deon Long for having a woman in his dorm room. Fisher gave his team two “simple” instructions, the first was to be on time, and the second was that no visitors were allowed back to the dorms.

According to For The Win Fisher is frustrated with the mediocrity of his team and made an example of Long as seen in the HBO series Hard Knocks.

“I’m not f—ing going 7-9 or 8-8 or 9-7. We have too much talent here for that. We had some 7-9 s–t this morning, and we can’t have that. Deon is gone. That is 7-9 bulls–t, and we don’t need it.”

Fisher has been the head coach for the Rams since 2012, going into his fifth season. In the last four years the Rams haven’t been able to get over the .500 mark, 2013 and 2015 he had regular season records of 7-9, 2014 was 6-10 on the season and 2012 was 7-8-1.

According to the Los Angeles Times the last six teams that have been featured on Hard Knocks have either matched or bettered their record from the previous season. Fisher is hoping the Rams will have the same good fortune.

Long was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles after his release.
