Former Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Richie Incognito was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona on Monday for disorderly conduct and for making threats at workers at a funeral home.

Incognito announced in a tweet on Sunday that his father died Saturday, and his body was reportedly being held at the funeral home.

A police report issued Tuesday said 35-year-old Incognito walked into Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary and started creating a “disturbance” by “acting erratically.” The free agent offensive lineman also allegedly “made a gun gesture toward one of the employees” and warned one of the workers that he had a “truck full of guns” sitting in the funeral home’s parking lot. ESPN also quoted employees as saying he “walked around the funeral home, punching caskets and throwing things.”

According to several reports, local authorities ultimately found five weapons in Incognito’s vehicle, all of which were legally owned. ESPN reported that he is set to appear in court in Scottsdale on Aug. 27 for a “pretrial conference.”

This is the second time this year that Incognito has run into trouble with the law. In May, he was detained by police in South Florida after he got into an altercation with a man at a gym.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Incognito originally claimed he would retire following the 2017 season but ultimately requested to be released in order to enter free agency. The offensive guard was also at the center of a locker room bullying and harassment investigation in 2013 that ultimately led the Miami Dolphins — for whom he played at the time — to suspend him three months. Incognito had allegedly threatened then-teammate Jonathan Martin.

Incognito also played with the then-St. Louis Rams from 2005 to 2009. Earlier this year, a Jacksonville Jaguars player accused Incognito of using racial slurs during a playoff game.

Adam Jones was arrested earlier this month on charges of disorderly conduct and assault for his behavior at a hotel in downtown Cincinnati, and more unpleasant details of the incident have now emerged.

Cincinnati police have released the 33-year-old Bengals cornerback’s profanity-laced comments to a sergeant at the time of his arrest at the Millennium Hotel on Jan. 3.

The 20-minute video reveals Jones in the back seat of a police vehicle, where he is shouting expletives at t Sgt. Jarrod Cotton who, like Jones, is African-American.

“You a b—- a– n—-r,” the Bengals star angrily says. “I hope you die tomorrow.”

Jones also repeatedly tells Cotton, “Suck my d—.”

Late Monday, Jones’ attorneys, Alex Triantafilou and Timothy Schneider, issued the following statement:

“Adam Jones is deeply embarrassed and remorseful for his conduct and language after being arrested in early January. Mr. Jones has the utmost respect for law-enforcement and the difficulties police encounter on a daily basis. As it relates to the allegations, and upon advice of counsel, Mr. Jones will not be commenting upon legal proceedings at this time. Mr. Jones is committed to the process of counseling and anger management, in order to ensure that such situations never occur in the future. Adam loves Cincinnati and considers it home. He sincerely apologize to the officers, the Cincinnati Bengals organization and all the fans in Cincinnati.”

The Bengals also released a statement:

“We are extremely disappointed with Adam’s behavior. The behavior in the video is not what we expect from our players. The Club is aware that Adam has put forth his own apology, however, we also offer an apology to the public and to our loyal fans.”

Officials stated Jones was pounding on hotel room doors. Security came to investigate, and officials added Jones pushed and poked a hotel security employee in the eye.

While being arrested, court documents say Jones was “head-butting” and “kicking” at officers, trying to avoid being placed in a police vehicle. He was then taken to the county jail.

In the video, Cotton tells Jones, “You didn’t want to cooperate… That’s how we ended up where we are, now.”

Jones seems to indicate that a video will clear him of the charges.

“It’s all on camera,” Jones says at one point.

Jones is also heard telling Cotton he would spit on him if he could; later, at the Hamilton County Justice Center, he allegedly spit on a female nurse who was examining him, drawing a felony charge.

The Bengals defenseman also faces a felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters has said the case against Jones is on hold until he assesses what type of discipline, if any, the NFL imposes.

Jones signed a three-year, $22 million contract with the Bengals in 2016 with $6 million guaranteed. Releasing him would save the team $6.3 million against the cap this year, the amount of his base salary.

Bengals CB Adam Jones Charged With Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Felony Harassment

The 33-year-old Bengals cornerback faces a felony and three misdemeanors after an altercation in downtown Cincinnati late Monday night.

According to Hamilton County Jail inmate records, Jones faces misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business, and a felony count of harassment with a bodily substance.

At his court hearing Tuesday morning, where his bond was set at $37,500, public defender Lauren Staley “vehemently” denied all charges and added that he has witnesses to counter the allegations.

Staley also said Jones will hire an attorney, and the Hamilton County sheriff’s office said Jones will remain imprisoned until a blood test can be performed Wednesday.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by WBRC-TV, Jones stands accused of assaulting a security guard by “pushing and poking” him in the eye. Jones then refused to stop attacking the man when ordered to by police and began to kick and head-butt as he refused to enter a police car. The cornerback then spat on a nurse on the jail’s medical staff after being taken into custody, and this landed him the felony charge.

Jones closed out his 10th NFL season on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. He has had several run-ins with the law throughout his career, especially at the beginning. In 2007, he took a plea deal in Las Vegas for his role in a strip-club shooting that left a bouncer paralyzed from the waist down, drawing a one-year NFL suspension.

In 2011, he was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident at a Cincinnati bar, pleading guilty and earning probation, a suspended jail sentence and 50 hours of community service. The Atlanta native was also acquitted in 2013 on an assault charge in Hamilton County after a woman accused him of punching her in a nightclub.

Last year, Jones was escorted out of a casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind. for arguing with another man and being loud and disruptive. Jones claimed he was asked to leave because he was using chewing tobacco, and was not charged with a crime.

The Titans made Jones the sixth overall pick in the 2005 draft, and he started 28 games in his first two seasons. After being named an all-pro in 2014 and making the 2015 Pro Bowl, Jones signed a three-year contract with the Bengals in March. He has repeatedly expressed how grateful he is toward the team for standing by him, and has vehemently defended Coach Marvin Lewis. Jones has two years remaining on his $22 million extension with the Bengals. The team would save $6.3 million against the salary cap should they part ways with him during the offseason.

“The best way to describe is if you’re stuck in the hole and you don’t have no one but God,” Jones said last year about his life before joining the Bengals. “And everyone has turned their back on you, and you look up and it’s light up at the tunnel, but where you’re standing at it’s dark, dark as hell. You gotta be strong, man, to come out of those kind of situations and trust in yourself and believe in God and do all the right things to try to get back.”
