It’s a cliche to say that hockey players are tough, but moments like this prove that it’s true.

In a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes, Daniel Sedin chased down a puck that he tipped into the Arizona zone. Defenseman Michael Stone batted the puck out of the air with his glove; unfortunately he directed it into Sedin’s mouth.

The Canuck fell to the ice before play was stopped to allow him to skate to the bench. He would return to the game after some running repairs in the locker room; video showed his front teeth being knocked out during the play.

“I think he lost three or four teeth,” Daniel’s twin brother Henrik Sedin said. “It’s just an accident that happens. He came back so that’s good. A few teeth is not a big deal.”
