So long… partner. Although NBA free agency brings forth unrivaled entertainment, it recently lead to the perhaps the hardest break–up since Ross and Rachel.

SLIDESHOW: TOP DEMOCRATS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT IN 2020

After packaged together as trade pieces during two occasions, first with both players going from the Detroit Pistons to the Los Angeles Clippers, and then from the Clippers to the Philadelphia 76ers this year, Boban Marjanovic and Tobias Harris formed the tightest friendship across the NBA, as the two often switching cities yet never loosing each other. After Harris signed a 5–year, $180 million contract to remain a 76er, Marjanovic inked a 2–year, $7 million deal bringing him to Dallas. Now with each player signed to an opposing squad, the duo’s time joking around on the bench and enjoying pre–game dances poises to end once next season begins.

Not too long after the news detailing the break–up surfaced, Harris and Marjanovic took to Twitter to illustrate their feelings.

Staying in Philly, Harris now gets a chance to push for a championship as although the Sixers lost Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat this offseason, they remain a favorite to reach the NBA Finals after acquiring Al Horford. Harris averaged 18.2–points and 7.9–rebounds per game last year. Meanwhile, Marjanovic joins an exciting young Dallas team looking to rebuild with other pieces such as Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Utilizing his impressive 7’3 stature, last year Marjanovic averaged 8.2–points per game shooting 63% from the field. Marjanovic also works as an effective glass eater off the bench snatching 5.1–rebounds per game last year

Throughout the years the “Bobi and Tobi show” excited fans no matter which city the pair took their talents to. Whether on the basketball court or not, Marjanovic and Harris spent moment after moment by each other’s side, including a hilarious stint where both hoopers traded in their basketball shoes for cameras one night and masqueraded as paparazzi at the Oscars. .

However, with NBA players continuing to shuffle from team to team like the league’s never seen before, perhaps one day the Bobi and Tobi show will add more episodes.

This week, MRIs of Philadelphia 76ers center Boban Marjanovic‘s knee show he avoided a serious injury and thus likely won’t miss significant time.

Marjanovic Crashes With Pelicans’ Cheick Diallo

The 7-foot-3 Serb went down in pain during a late fourth-quarter collapse on Monday night. While going for a loose ball, Boban’s right leg got caught between New Orleans Pelicans wing Cheick Diallo‘s before being twisted as he and another player fell onto the Sixer.

Marjanovic attempted to get back to his feet before realizing the severity of the injury. Coach Brett Brown and two Philadelphia players helped guide the center to the locker room. After the close game, Marjanovic hobbled on crutches to the team bus.

“My head at the moment is completely with Boban, to be frank,” Brown said when asked about the close win. “So whatever level of disappointment I may have, I don’t feel it so much now. We won the game, and I’m really thinking about him.”

Star Joel Embiid has missed all three of the Sixers’ games since the All-Star break. In seven games with the Sixers, Majanovic averaged 17 minutes per game, close to double of his season-high of 9.4 minutes. In less than 22 minutes in the Monday night 111-110 win, he was good for 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Since joining the team after a February 6 trade with the Los Angeles Clippers, Boban has settled in nicely in Philly. While he doesn’t have the overall skill of fellow former Clipper Tobias Harris, he’s a spectacle to watch. The 7-footer dunks without jumping. Fans and teammates alike will miss his absence.

“It was tough to see him go down and be in pain. So I’m praying that everything will be all right for him and we can get him back ASAP,” Harris said. “He did an amazing job out there when he was playing.”

Before the Pelicans game and Boban’s injury, some expected Embiid to return to the court to face off against Anthony Davis. However, with the injury, some extra rest and a matchup against the No. 3 seed Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, the All-Star center’s return isn’t just wanted but desperately needed.

Clippers’ Boban Marjanovic Dunks In Loss To Nuggets

Early in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s 107-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets, the 7-foot-3, 291-pound Serbian took a Patrick Beverley pass after racing down the lane and landed a one-handed dunk. The most impressive part? He didn’t even have to jump to score it. He had to lift his feel slightly off the court, sure. But it appeared to be nothing more than a tiptoe.

Marjanovic, 30, quickly lit up NBA Twitter with his wild dunk, and dozens of fans also jumped on social media to comment on the moment, a replay of which was shared from multiple different angles.

Marjanovic’s dunk was so ferocious that he damaged the rim and it had to be adjusted.

Memes and GIFs also started circulating after the Serbian’s big move.

We can only hope that Marjanovic has a lot more of these moments throughout the season.
