Taco Bell Hands Out Free Crunchwraps Thanks To Lorenzo Cain’s World Series Stolen Base

When food chains and sports collide for an exchange for free food, the public is usually on the edge of their seats. Taco Bell agreed that if Royals shortstop/speedster Lorenzo Cain stole a base during the World Series, all of the United States population was entitled to a free A.M. Crunchwrap this morning. Sure enough, Cain had stolen a base during the sixth inning of Game 1 of the series, automatically giving any Taco Bell customer a free breakfast wrap.

The wraps were served this morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at participating Taco Bell locations throughout the country. Even Cain, the guy who made this promotion possible, was excited it happened and wanted to get a wrap himself saying, “I need my Taco Bell before bed. Who wants Taco Bell? It’s on me.”

The Royals ended up winning their first World Series championship since 1985, beating the New York Mets four games to one in the series.
