PITTSBURGH, PA - DECEMBER 25: Ben Roethlisberger #7 of the Pittsburgh Steelers drops back to pass in the first half during the game against the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field on December 25, 2016 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 26-14 at Heinz Field Monday night in what was in all likelihood quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s final home game.
Capping an 18-year career, all with the Steelers, the six-time Pro Bowler threw for a touchdown, an interception and 123 yards, which were all fewer than his Browns (7-9) counterpart Baker Mayfield’s 185 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Diontae Johnson (8 catches for 31 yards) scored Pittsburgh’s (8-7-1) first touchdown in the second quarter, while Najee Harris (188 yards on 28 carries) scored the second in the waning seconds of the game.
Shutout in the first half, the Browns cut it to 13-7 on David Njoku’s touchdown grab late in the third stanza.
